Digital Director, Champagne & Sparkling

The Digital Director for Champagne & Sparkling is responsible for leading the creation and distribution strategy of compelling, targeted, relevant content that educates and entertains, surprises, and ultimately drives consumer engagement across all social & digital media in the US market. The Digital Director should have a deep understating of the digital world in all its iterations and be inspired by the possibilities that emerge from collaboration between storytelling and technology.
Paid Media Leadership
- Lead the media planning process, working collaboratively with Brand Team, Communications, and COE to deliver best-in-class Paid Media strategies that evolves the creative positioning & identity of the Champagne & Sparkling brands to audiences across social / digital channels.
- Partner closely with the Director of Media Partnerships to integrate publisher opportunities early and at the highest potential of creativity and innovation.
- Adopt a measurement/testing mentality, partnering with agencies and internal teams to create benchmarks and optimize campaigns for performance.
- Define and share best practices by exploring new capabilities, approaches and platforms via test and learns.
- Partner with COE to drive agencies to deliver fluid on-the-go budget spend framework informed by real time campaign performance analysis that minimizes ineffective spend and maximizes ROI.
- Manage overall Paid Media budgets.
Big Bet Digital Journeys
- Work with Brand & Communications teams to map out the consumer digital journeys for each of the big bets across Champagne & Sparkling brands.
- Develop and deploy consumer-first, best-in-class campaigns, and experiences across digital platforms to build reputation, create brand/product demand, enable sales and gain market intelligence.
- Thought Leadership: Remain relentlessly up to date on emerging and future trends across all relevant platforms to ensure we are bringing innovation and maximizing the impact of brand big bets.
Social Strategy
- Work with Brand, Influencer Team, and Agencies to develop a US strategy for brand owned social channels and content.
- Oversee the Social Media Manager in collaborating with brand teams to plan and produce US specific social content calendar.
- Guide the Social Media manager to continuously improve work processes and asset creation to support evolving market and platform needs.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree required
Professional Experience
- At least 8 years of cumulative experience in a creative/ media agency or brand role
- Experience in leading, managing and developing teams
- Experience in managing a paid media budget at a market level
Practical/Technical Knowledge
- Possess an elevated taste level and an understanding of how to position a luxury brand in the digital space.
- Highly effective written and spoken communicator; comfortable presenting in large groups
- Expert in Microsoft Suite; gifted storyteller via PowerPoint and can organize details via Excel
- Detail oriented with strong skills in project and timeline management; can manage large, complex tasks proactively and autonomously
- Exceptional knowledge and pulse on cultural trends
- Maintain a flexible and adaptable mindset by continually evaluating, revising, and responding with agility to meet rapidly evolving business needs, and perform other functions and duties as assigned.
