Role Description

The Director of Advocacy & Influencer Marketing will spearhead the strategy and execution of the ever-changing Advocacy and Influencer marketing ecosystem of SkinCeuticals brand communities. This role will lead the strategy and execution of the brand’s voice and image among consumers, influencers, skincare professionals, and the press. By embracing SkinCeuticals passion for advanced skincare backed by science, you will aid in launching innovative products to press and influencers, identify influencer and celebrity talent partnerships alongside relevant medfluencer talent, and create campaigns that will inspire and engage our consumer. This role will report directly to the AVP of Brand Engagement.

What You Will Do

  • Oversee and continue to build on the overall SkinCeuticals Advocacy and Influencer marketing strategy, across multiple platforms and formats to drive engagement, retention, positive consumer sentiment, and ultimately sales.
  • Develop and implement public relations strategies to advance brand to be seen as the antioxidant authority, drive awareness to new product launch awareness, and anchor superiority in key pillar skus.
  • Build a philanthropic press strategy in partnership with the DMI deepen and scale cause marketing efforts to reach & win new consumers through brand purpose and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with brand marketing, business development, education, medical affairs, and finance to create and align on product and animation strategies.
  • Lead influencer vetting process and contract negotiations at competitive industry rates including VIPs, Professionals like dermatologists, plastic surgeons, mid-level providers, aestheticians, Macro, Mid-Tier, and Micro Skin-Obsessed or Procedure-involved Influencers.
  • Manage the execution of influencer partnerships for paid media programs, managing day-to-day operations, reporting on results, and providing valuable insights for future collaborations.
  • Manage influencer assets for paid media; delivery deadlines, launch workbooks, content approvals and campaign reporting.
  • Counsel global & marketing teams on the brand’s paid influencer strategy, insights, and best practices to help upskill and collaborate on global initiatives and new U.S. product launches and campaigns.
  • Lead local event execution for influencer and press campaigns – including collaborate with key marketing partners for messaging alignment, manage vendors, act as logistical lead, and manage gifting.
  • Lead change management through agency and process transition.
  • Foster stronger medfluencer presence through gifting programs via le care that drives brand and product superiority, enriching the brand’s strategy.
  • Analyze KPI’s from prior programs and support decisions with ROI-based analysis.
  • Efficiently Manage the A&I Budget/Tracker/PO Process
  • Manage PR/Influencer agencies daily.
  • Ideate and revolutionize how to best create buzz with celebrity, influencer, and skincare expert partners to ensure SkinCeuticals is the #1 Love Brand
  • Closely collaborate with social media lead to ensure influencers are organically being cultivated on owned brand channels.
  • They will be accountable for ensuring continuity and brand cohesiveness for all influencer touchpoints and advocate for best practices on existing platforms.
  • This individual will play a key role in synthetizing key learnings to partner with our internal marketing teams to create the optimal go-to-market strategy.
  • Build and enable the influencer & advocacy community across our brand teams to ensure learnings and best practices are being shared.
  • Day-to-day communication with agencies + internal teams to manage process.
  • Owns product order placements for communications needs.

  • Experience working with brand spokespeople, talent, influencers and experts like dermatologists, plastic surgeons, mid-level practitioners, and aestheticians.
  • Collaborative spirit and ability to work cross-functionally with many different teams on projects.
  • Must be professional, energetic and have a positive attitude.

Qualifications/Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • 8+ years’ experience, 5+ in influencer marketing, brand engagement, paid media, or related roles.
  • Beauty, Skincare, or pharmaceutical experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in influencer/PR management and analytics tools (i.e., Cision, Traackr)
  • Experience managing agencies and vendors.
