VP of Marketing Role

We are seeking a marketing and brand executive with expertise in leading high-performing marketing, brand and creative teams for premium brands. The position will be responsible for leading our growth strategy and shaping our brand across omni channel online and offline experiences.

This position will serve as a member of the senior leadership team and champion a collaborative approach to growing and scaling our current product portfolio, client retention, and geographical reach. Additionally, this role will have input in business strategy, new business development, and new product launches.

The ideal candidate for the role will have a proven track record of building enduring consumer brands through community building and storytelling; while also demonstrating expertise in growth marketing, customer acquisition and long-term customer retention in a multi-brand environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Development of brand and position strategy, guidelines, and related assets
  • Define, champion and deliver innovative brand marketing strategies across digital and offline experiences
  • Develop growth-focused marketing and advertising strategies to drive brand, performance marketing and retention marketing resulting in integrated marketing plans and programs that fuel customer discovery, interest, engagement, and retention that are aligned with the company's 3-year strategic plan and goals
  • Establish and proactively manage the performance of all marketing channels to regularly review, drive and optimize KPIs
  • Manage monthly tactical marketing plan with Retail, Social, CRM, PR, and Creative to bring brand and merchandise stories to life across multiple channels
  • Define the goals, core strategies and most efficient tactics to drive cost-effective acquisition and retention through paid media channels and SEO
  • Drive end to end CRM and customer loyalty strategy to build awareness and drive long term value and customer engagement
  • Oversee organic social channels, continuing to innovate and evolve content strategy to drive key targets including engagement, follower growth, impressions, reach, traffic, revenue etc..
  • Lead our brand advertising, PR, influencer marketing and partnership strategy; including traditional press/media relations, large scale multi-channel brand campaigns, paid & organic influencer campaigns, and strategic co-marketing partnerships
  • Build and mentor high-performing marketing organization with a high sense of impact and ownership and collaboration
  • Develop and implement key marketing and creative systems, reporting, and processes to achieve collaboration, efficiency, and effectiveness across marketing for all the brands
  • Assist the Events and Restaurant teams in key events
  • Develop key reporting and analytics to report results
  • Oversee the marketing budget

Leadership Skills And Qualification

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have led a growth or marketing team in a modern e-commerce, gourmet food and housewares D2C and wholesale brand. Restaurant marketing is a plus.

  • Possess a calculated risk-taking mindset, business sensibility, and a high level of urgency in their approach, constantly pushing themselves and others to achieve strategic and tactical outcomes for the organization.

Education/experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business related degree
  • 7-10 years experience in marketing and branding. Experience in a high-performing multi-brand organization a plus
  • 3 years experience in leading a marketing organization
  • Experience in growth stage company, growing new brands and lines of businesses
  • Keen understanding of restaurant, retail, catalog, wholesale and e-commerce sales operations and activities with a solid knowledge of SEO and web analytics
  • Demonstrated ability to hire and retain top marketing talent, creating successful and high-performing teams
  • Strong business, data analysis and interpretation skills
  • Proven ability to effectively think through complex issues and creatively problem solve
  • Experience building strong strategic partnerships
