Our flagship campus is in Sydney. We also have a campus in Melbourne and co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. But you have choice in where and how you work. That means if you want to do your thing in the office (if you're near one), at home or a bit of both, it's up to you.

In the Design Education team, we're dedicated to inspiring our community with content that empowers them to unleash their creativity. We cater to a diverse audience, including K12 districts, where we aim to showcase the simplicity and effectiveness of Canva in enhancing learning experiences.

Our team is the heartbeat of educational content on Canva’s products and features. We thrive on creating content that lives on our Design School platform and across various channels, helping educators and students design with ease and confidence.

We are a team of designers, teachers, writers, facilitators, creators, and doers. Our passion lies in both in-person and digital learning experiences. We’re constantly evolving, growing our skills and course offerings in tandem with Canva's expanding features and content library.
What You’d Be Doing In This Role
As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.
As a K12 Content Specialist, your mission will be to develop captivating content for our K12 District audience, including teachers, students, and admins. This is a 6-month Fixed Term Contract.
Your Role Involves
- Collaborating with our Sales team to understand and meet the needs of K12 districts.
- Creating a variety of content, such as pitch decks, onboarding guides, training resources, newsletters, and self-serve teacher resources.
- Leading train-the-trainer sessions to equip our team with the skills to deliver impactful training materials.

- You are a versatile creator, able to develop engaging and educational content for K12 teachers and students.
- You have a deep understanding of the K12 educational environment and audience.
- You excel in facilitation and training, with excellent time management and a proactive attitude.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with our Sales team to cater to the needs of K12 districts, primarily in the US.
- Gain a deep understanding of Canva’s potential in the classroom setting.
- Collaborate with marketing and growth teams to drive district-level growth.
- Develop content strategies tailored to the K12 district audience.
- Innovate in content creation to enhance learning experiences using Canva.
What You Bring
- Experience in educational content creation and delivery.
- Familiarity with the needs and dynamics of K12 districts.
- Experience in SaaS or educational technology is a plus.
- Ability to create various content formats with strong copywriting skills.
- A knack for simplifying complex ideas into engaging and branded content.
- Strong decision-making, project management, and communication skills.
