Senior Director Brand Marketing

As a Senior Director in Brand Marketing, you will have the opportunity to shape the future narrative of this iconic brand.
As Senior Director Brand Marketing, you will lead all brand & product marketing plans and campaign & content delivery (from brief to creation to execution). You will be responsible for leading all activities to build the brand, drive product fame and ensure the FILA brand lands with clarity, relevance and resonance with consumers, media, influencers and the industry. You will lead all Brand Foundation work to ensure FILA’s brand DNA is clearly and consistently applied in all campaigns and content. This role will also work closely with the Sr Director Social, PR and Influencers and the Sr. Director Channels & Media to ensure all channel needs are considered and addressed within FILA USA’s brand and product campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define the short & long-term marketing strategy and seasonal plans across owned, earned, paid and influencer channels.
- Lead the implementation and ongoing management of FILA’s Brand Foundations to ensure clarity and consistency around brand positioning, creative expression and tone-of-voice.
- Ensure every element of consumer-facing content meets the FILA standards of craft and creative excellence.
- In partnership with SVP Marketing, SVP Consumer Creation, Creative Director, SVP DTC and SVP Sales, build & deliver the seasonal marketing plan which defines the seasonal marketing architecture inclusive of a prioritized mix of marketing stories, activities & investment levels.
- Work with cross-functional partners to build the US Marketing calendar across brand moments, product launches, sport / culture events and editorial concepts.
- Partner with creative agency/s to brief, manage & develop innovative and compelling creative concepts that can be brought to life through robust toolkits, dynamic consumer /media experiences and engaging activations.
- Lead and drive end-to-end integrated plans in collaboration with key marketing partners across Social, PR, Influencers, Digital, Wholesale and Retail.
- Partner closely with the Paid Media team to develop dynamic and impactful media plans that drive awareness, engagement and conversion.
- Build, lead and mentor a team of marketing team members – fostering a culture of inclusivity, learning, growth, innovation and creativity.
- Collaborate with global counterparts to ensure one aligned brand approach across markets and the sharing of creative concepts, campaigns and content when appropriate.
- Work with consumer / market Insights teams to ensure an always-on understanding of consumer behavior, marketing trends and general state of play across key competitors and the overall retail industry.
- Deepen the marketing core-competency across the brand – be an internal thought leader and influencer to expand the overall understanding of marketing principles, activities & investments.
- Build, protect and enhance brand identity, ensuing consistency, craft & creative excellence across all marketing channels.
- Manage the brand marketing campaign budget, ensuring campaigns are delivered on time, in full and on budget.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in Brand Management and Marketing, leading full lifecycle campaign briefing, creation and execution across paid, earned & owned channels.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, brand management, communications or related field.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, foster high-impact collaboration and influence all levels of the brand.
- Expertise across all marketing channels - ATL, Digital, Social, PR, Influencers, Retail and Wholesale.
- Experience translating brand concepts into marketing campaigns, activations and experiences that drive relevancy and resonance with consumers, media and the industry.
- Deep understanding of sport & sport culture preferred.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong organizational and project management experience.
- Willingness to engage in in-person collaboration at our Midtown Manhattan office for at least four days per week.
What We Offer:
- Expected annual salary range between $141,000 - $212,000. Actual compensation will depend on individual skills, experience, and qualifications.
