ABOUT THE POSITION

Allergy Research Group® (ARG) seeks an experienced Director of Marketing to take our high-quality practitioner-focused and retail supplements brands to their next levels of growth. A passionate brand advocate and savvy business strategist, you will develop strategies and marketing programs that address practitioners, patients and general consumers; develop innovation strategies and build and manage a team. This role will have a significant impact in shaping ARG’s business strategy and outcomes.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the marketing function within ARG. Participate in Executive Leadership Team meetings, develop and report status of KPIs and critical projects, develop and manage the budget, marketing personnel, outside contractors, agencies and other resources. Work cross-functionally throughout the business to ensure business goals are met.
  • Evolve the long-term marketing objectives and strategies. This may include updating the brand positioning, identifying strategic pillars, reevaluating target audiences and expanding communication channels.
  • Develop and execute the annual marketing plan, including strategies and tactics to address health care practitioners as well as patients and consumers.
  • Manage all marketing communications and customer touchpoints, including digital marketing (PPC, social media, influencer, etc), public relations, webinars, conferences and tradeshows, e-mail, packaging, creation of materials such as product and protocol guides, and customer lifestyle activities including acquisition, retention and loyalty.
  • Create brand portfolio and product line strategies, including strategic areas of focus and opportunities for innovation, renovation and rationalization.
  • Work closely with sales to ensure retail and e-commerce goals are met across channels including ARG websites, Amazon, Fullscript and Emerson and retail.
  • Manage the marketing team and all marketing resources, including contractors, agencies, and budget.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of marketing experience, including CPG experience, with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience with marketing to healthcare practitioners required; experience in supplements or other health/wellness categories a plus
  • Experience with P&Ls, budgeting, forecasting and business reporting
  • Experience managing and leading cross-functional teams and driving to results
  • Experience leading and managing marketing teams and resources
  • Experience leading marketing communication programs
  • Experience commercializing and launching new products
  • Experience working with regulatory a plus
  • Experience managing brands with a broad range of items a plus.
  • Omni-channel marketing experience, including direct experience with direct-to-consumer, Amazon; experience with practitioner portals and retail highly desired

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong analytics with a track record of data-based decision making. Experience working with large data sets and syndicated data
  • Must be comfortable with ambiguity and able to provide initiative and structure when needed
  • Must be flexible and able to adapt to shifting business needs
  • Enjoys collaborating with teammates and subject matter experts at all levels throughout the organization
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience writing packaging and other marketing copy highly desired.
  • Strong project management skills
  • High ethical level; principle-centric with pragmatic implementation
  • A team player able to work collaboratively and successfully across functions
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Experience in communicating effectively
  • Attentive to detail
