The Director of Social Strategy will be at the forefront of shaping and executing social media strategies for our portfolio of clients. As a key leader of our new social media team, we require a seasoned leader with significant experience in managing a social media agenda for large brands. The Director of Social Strategy will own clients’ social media strategies, including driving best-in-class content, community management, social listening, and paid media. The Director of Social Strategy will oversee the development, implementation, and measurement of effective social plans for our diverse portfolio of clients. The right candidate will have a deep understanding of the social media landscape and a proven track record of leading successful teams.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Own clients’ social media strategy, including driving best-in-class content, community management, social listening, and paid media
- Work closely with internal teams to create and implement a comprehensive social media strategy, while managing a rockstar team of social experts
- Develop and execute holistic social strategy for clients’ brands across all channels, with a focus on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and emerging channels
- Collaborate with creative team to create compelling content to increase brand equity, engage consumers, and drive cultural relevance for our brands
- Own client and cross-functional relationships in partnership with the Account team
- Drive project timelines and manage client expectations for social content
- Create and manage strategic partnerships, including Creator and Influencer relationships
- Oversee the community management strategy and execution to increase brand engagement and positive sentiment and to appropriately intersect organic social conversation
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive social media strategies and plans that align with client objectives and budgets
- Develop a strong partnership with clients, becoming embedded in their team and working collaboratively to understand their business
- Work closely with the clients, internal teams and other agency partners to ensure social plans align with overall campaign strategies and objectives.
- Be a social evangelist in the business, helping influence the adoption of, and enthusiasm for, social media across the organization while keeping atop emerging technologies and trends
YOUR CREDENTIALS
- 10+ years social media or related experience
- History of developing social strategy and driving results across all facets of social media management, including social listening, community management, content strategy, and analytics
- Balance of strong strategic thinking and flawless execution, with impeccable attention to detail
- Excellent communication/presentation skills; ability to inform, influence and negotiate across functions and with all organization levels
- Extensive knowledge of popular and emerging social channels
- Experience with influencer relationships across platforms with a point of view on best practices
- Technologically savvy with an in-depth knowledge of social analytics and content creation tools
- Experience building and leading teams
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
