PR Manager - LA

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and relationship driven PR Manager to join our in-house global Marketing team.
The Role:
This is a Full-Time role based in Los Angeles from our WeWork space in West Hollywood (1 WFH day available).
This role will support the Head of Brand to deliver press and influencer strategies to increase brand awareness and reinforce our global presence. The successful candidate must have a strong focus on relationship management, copywriting and knowledge of international influencer and media landscapes.
As PR Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our PR agency relationships, samples, gifting and send outs as well as driving strategy ideation and execution across global PR touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities:
Media Relations
- Cultivate relationships with key publications globally, managing press engagement and tailoring pitch lists for campaigns.
- Collaborate with CMO to approve pitch lists, execute media send-outs, and pitch unique brand stories internationally.
- Oversee external global PR agencies, ensuring accountability to monthly KPIs, and utilize social tools for celebrity engagement monitoring.
- Support coordination of press and influencer events, manage award submissions, and curate and archive press clippings.
Copywriting
- Create high-quality, impactful copy for press releases, media pitches, external blog posts, and other written materials.
- Develop and maintain a consistent and compelling brand voice across all communication channels in line with the GLL Tone of Voice document.
- Assist in the development and implementation of crisis communication plans and respond swiftly to manage and mitigate any potential negative publicity.
Influencer Relations
- Work closely with Influencer & Content Specialist to identify key opportunities for dressing.
- Drive, track and report on influencer and celebrity social and editorial coverage
- Build and maintain professional relationships with agency partners, stylists and editorial partners alongside external agencies
- Monitor influencer activity execution internally and across external PR agencies
- Work closely with CX Manager and Pre-Production Coordinator to manage and resolve any influencer/celebrity orders or fit issues
- Measure ROI and impressions across initiatives in order to gauge success and inform future initiatives
Partnerships
- Coordinate celebrity and influencer relations to facilitate brand partnerships
- Research brand collaborations and explore opportunities for potential partnerships with guidance from CMO
- Contribute to strategy and creation of partnership proposals and marketing plans alongside CMO
- Manage internal and external partners to produce events and campaigns
- Any other adhoc duties relevant to skills and capabilities as requested by management
Sample Management
- Management of PR and marketing samples including sample logistics, quality control, dispatch, stock take, new sample ordering and cleaning
- Work closely with Dispatch Supervisor to fulfil seasonal gifting, pre-orders, product seeding, product pulls and influencer and celebrity orders
- Manage all marketing stock and sample transfers through NetSuite and create customers in NetSuite to generate orders
Localised Marketing Support
- Deliver bridal show events across the US in new and existing markets
- Research and liase with showroom manager on local, relevant bridal events
- Liase with showroom managers and Head of Brand to coordinate local marketing collatetal for flyer drops and vendor networking
Essential Knowledge/Behaviours Required:
- Have a minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in a similar role ideally with global or international experience
- Have a tertiary qualification (or similar) in a relevant field
- Knowledgeable of the e-commerce and retail space that includes marketing strategies, product management, industry trends and usability best practices
- Ability to find and communicate meaningful insights by diving into Google Analytics etc.
- Time management skills and the ability to prioritise own workflow
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Work efficiently either independently or as a team
- Passion and understanding of the GLL brand vision and alignment with the GLL Values
