Grow your career as a successful Director of Social Media within Hyatt Inclusive Collection, one of our 14 industry-leading brands. In this role, you will be is responsible for developing the social media strategy and business plan for Hyatt’s 10 Inclusive Collection luxury, all-inclusive brands. This leader is accountable to create unique, out of the box and innovative strategies that raise each brand’s social media marketing to the next level. Reporting directly to the SVP, Marketing & Global Brand Leader, this leader is responsible for delivering results and positive ROI while expanding reach, increasing awareness, and driving engagement within each brand’s target audience.

A successful Director of Social Media will:

  • Develop a unique, out of the box social media marketing strategy and business plan for each of Hyatt’s 10 Inclusive Collection brands designed to grow each brand’s reach, audience, and engagement KPIs across channels including but not limited to Facebook, X, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube and Tik Tok.
    • Impression by Secrets, Zoetry Wellness & Spa Resorts, Secrets Resorts & Spas, Hyatt Zilara Resorts, Breathless Resorts & Spas, Dreams Resorts & Spas, Hyatt Ziva Resorts, Hyatt Vivid Hotels & Resorts, Sunscape Resorts & Spas, Alua Hotels & Resorts.
  • Manage, develop, and grow a team of ten hard-working and dedicated colleagues.
  • Responsible for overseeing the creation of social media playbooks, guidelines, and standards to be executed across both brand and resort-level social media accounts.
  • Spearhead each brand’s creative vision, content strategy and storytelling across social media platforms.
  • Create and deploy innovative cross-channel social media campaign strategies designed to achieve established results and KPIs.
  • Build and grow social media influencer program consisting of micro, macro and celebrity influencers aligned to each brand’s positioning and target audience.
  • Track, analyze, and report on performance of social content and campaigns, while continuously optimizing annual social strategy.
  • Own relationship and account management of social media platforms, tools, and vendor agencies.
  • Responsible for allocation of social media budgets, including yearly contracts, invoice reconciliation and special projects based on annual business objectives.
  • Educate internal & external colleagues on the implementation of new technologies including new social channels, digital monitoring tools, online reputation platforms, etc.
  • Identify and report on innovative social media trends across key stakeholders to maximize exposure and generate additional revenue.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ALG core values.

A successful Director of Social Media will have:

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent 4-year degree
  • 10+ years marketing experience, with travel or tourism industry experience preferred
  • Proven track record launching new social media platforms, developing social media strategies, and spearheading unique, creative campaigns
  • Experience managing and leading a team of growing professionals
  • Strong proven knowledge of social media platforms and technologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Strong copywriting, editing and proof-reading skills required
  • Must be very organized, detail-oriented and great at multi-tasking
  • Must be a self-motivated and results-oriented person, able to lead projects and interact with multiple departments
  • Proven collaboration skills are essential
  • Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred, but not required
