As a result, the majority of our staff are hybrid and work both from home and onsite. Our current hybrid approach requires staff to work onsite a minimum of one day each week: every Tuesday. Hybrid staff are also welcome to come in additional days each week or may be asked to come in on other days by their manager.

Department Overview

The National Marketing and Audience Development (NMAD) team generates promotion for ANTIQUES ROADSHOW, including broadcast, digital and other initiatives through brand development and expansion, audience development and engagement, and brand communications (both internal and external). Marketing channels are varied and evolve with brand needs. Examples of some current channels include social, newsletter, PBS and stations, earned coverage and advertising campaigns. NMAD staff work closely with unit colleagues; GBH digital, social and communications colleagues; Station Relations; Sponsorship; series talent and producers; PBS; and external agencies to increase the visibility, awareness, and value of the series. NMAD is responsible for marketing and promotion for the overall brand, television series, ancillary branded products and production tour events.

Job Overview

This temporary position will be responsible for creating and executing awareness and engagement campaigns across social platforms and other platforms as related. Responsible for day-to-day social platform activity implementing social posting strategy and spearheading social content creation. Collaborating with producers, talent and agencies as well as GBH colleagues, responsible for engagement project timelines, promotion collateral, and specific tactics according to social planning and within budget. Works with Marketing Assistant (MA) as needed on social campaign preparation and delivering project assets. Works with members of various GBH departments including Station Relations, Sponsorship, Digital, Communications and also collaborates with PBS social colleagues as required to execute social engagement initiatives and campaigns.

Responsibilities

Day-to-Day :

  • Implement social media strategies that align with the national marketing strategy.
  • Manage and implement social engagement initiatives, including initiatives for broadcast, annual production Tour, digital projects (series and specials) and other brand extensions.
  • Manage writing, design, production and deployment of marketing collateral and communication across social platforms for all ROADSHOW marketing initiatives.
  • Create social content in keeping with AR brand voice and attributes.
  • Manage and produce social-first content for AR social platforms.
  • Manage data collection for social initiatives and report findings to DMAD weekly.
  • Compile social audience and engagement data as needed by DMAD
  • Explore and stay informed on new engagement tools available through existing AR social platforms.
  • Create and manage social media advertising campaigns as approved by DMAD.
  • Develop effective social media content angles to support key initiatives.
  • Manage creation and distribution of social media assets for use by PBS, Station Relations, Sponsorship and other applicable cross-promotional contacts.
  • Seek out social media cross promotional opportunities among other GBH and PBS programs.
  • Maintain relationships as key point of contact for AR social with GBH, PBS, Station Relations, Sponsorship, AR staff/crew/appraisers and other external contacts.
  • Help with other Marketing initiatives as directed by DMAD


Annual ANTIQUES ROADSHOW Production Tour – (five events late-April through June 2024)

  • Attend all 2024 ANTIQUES ROADSHOW tour/production events, managing social content creation and other social marketing activity.
  • Manage (with DMAD), develop and deploy social initiatives and assets on tour.
  • Plan (with DMAD and Emerging Platforms lead) and produce social-first and digital-first content on tour.
  • Manage social schedule and production plan for each Tour event
  • Working with DMAD, identify and cultivate social influencer/celebrity opportunities in each local tour market.
  • Help with other Marketing initiatives as directed by DMAD


SKILL SET

  • Experience creating content for and posting on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and X (formerly Twitter)
  • Video editing skills required.
  • Photo editing skills required (familiarity with Photoshop preferred).
  • Familiarity with other photo and video editing platforms preferred
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Ability to multitask, detail-oriented, proactive, accustomed to working under deadlines, adapts positively and quickly to change
  • Excellent written, verbal, communication skills and with a high level of accuracy required
  • A self-starter with strong organizational skills


Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3-5 years related experience in social media and engagement marketing required.
