About the Role:
The person in this role monitors, collects and analyzes content and data in multiple B2C channels, primarily social platforms and product reviews for all Johnson Outdoors brands. They will work collaboratively with the marketing teams to understand campaigns and products and provide analysis and recommendations for optimizing product and marketing initiatives. They will co-manage social content development and publishing tools and provides best practices and guidelines to Johnson Outdoors content teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acts as an outdoor enthusiast with a pulse on the business, serves as a strong business advocate and ensures results are successful and linked to business initiatives.
- Conducts organic social analyses focused on performance assessment (against KPIs) and actionable recommendations using multiple reporting tools; monitors key social groups and works with external resources to collect data for analysis.
- Analyzes product reviews for select brands and provides themes to businesses.
- Manages social media and influencer marketing tools, including providing support to internal teams.
- Develops and socializes organic social media marketing best practices and guidelines.
- Assists in reviewing current content processes and may make recommendations to improve corporate guidelines /standards for consumer-facing content.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Communications, Marketing, Analytics, Consumer Research or equivalent.
- Requires a minimum of 2 years of related marketing experience which includes experience analyzing content.
Knowledge & Background Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability and skills in analyzing social media content and other marketing content and data and harnessing that analysis to deliver insights and actionable recommendations.
- Deep understanding of social platforms including how consumers engage with content and participate in communities.
- Demonstrated understanding of general marketing fundamentals and how to build brands.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to effectively communicate with internal teams and external vendors.
- Ability to effectively multitask and prioritize work.
- Skills and ability to coordinate projects which includes gathering ideas, managing the timeline, resources and budgets as well as performing an evaluation on the project’s effectiveness.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Insights Tools from key social platforms, Google Analytics, and Looker Studio.
