We started Canopy to help you unlock the full potential of your beauty and wellness routine. Since our launch in October 2020, our line of reimagined home devices have quickly become customer and editor favorites, sporting modern design and real benefits for skincare, haircare and wellness. As we continue to grow our brand, core to our success will be a differentiated social and influencer strategy that engages and entertains our target consumer, adding real value through education and inspiration around skincare, wellness, aromatherapy, lifestyle and other related topics. We will leverage a network of creators, influencers, experts, and ambassadors to help us craft and communicate our storytelling.

We are seeking a digitally savvy marketer with a strong background across social media and/or influencer in the beauty/wellness/lifestyle space. Looking for true social media enthusiasts! The right candidate has a strong mix of creative and strategic skills with a focus on creating high performing content and building a community of brand evangelists. The Social Media & Influencer Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the evolution of the Canopy brand in the eyes of the customer. Looking for a highly motivated individual who is interested in joining a small but mighty team in building an exciting consumer brand from the ground up.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead content strategy and execution across channels (FB/IG, TikTok, Pinterest, and other relevant social platforms) creating programming that prompts our consumer to regularly engage with us and share with their community. Experience with creating content for social advertising strongly preferred.
  • Own the Canopy social media accounts, including creation of the social calendar, scheduling, posting, and community management.
  • Build out robust and actionable social reporting leveraging internal resources and third party tools.
  • Work with in-house creative team and 3rd party creators to plan and develop all content across channels. Major plus if you love to create content yourself.
  • Lead influencer/ambassador strategy and relationship management. Source and cultivate a network of brand-relevant creators, driving long term, ROI-focused collaborations that yield effective content and meaningful promotion of our brand.
  • Partner with Customer Service team to help manage online community of customers across channels, being the voice of Canopy online.
  • Stay on the cutting edge of digital marketing trends and topics relevant to our customer. Constantly find new ways to expand our reach and enhance our impact through use of new channels, analysis and tools.
  • Act as a face of Canopy when relevant, representing and speaking to our target consumer through media.

Qualifications:

  • You are highly entrepreneurial and organized, with the ability to create priorities and juggle multiple initiatives at once. You thrive in a fast paced and ever-changing work environment.
  • You have 2-5 years experience in social media/influencer marketing for beauty/wellness brands. Hands-on experience effectively growing social media following and building social as a meaningful channel for awareness, acquisition, and community.
  • You love creating content for social and understand how to do this quickly and efficiently. You have your finger on the pulse of content trends and love to make content yourself.
  • You have great creative instincts and understand what types of content garner high engagement in social. At the same time, you are a strategic, analytical thinker who can be scrappy with a laser focus on ROI.
  • You are comfortable recruiting, negotiating with, and building relationships with creators and influencers, focusing on brand-relevant talent and ROI-driven collaborations.
  • You are extremely passionate about beauty and wellness. You are steeped in the world of beauty and lifestyle social media, with a strong understanding of the brand and influencer landscape. You understand the latest trends in relevant social content and strategies.
  • Experience creating content for paid social strongly preferred.
  • You are comfortable on camera and can act as the face of Canopy throughout various social channels.

Salary range: $50,000-$95,000

Location: Open to fully remote, but New York area is preferred
