The eCommerce Technical Analyst is a key member of the Digital team as we build and launch the global eCommerce platform of the future. The Technical Analyst is responsible for applying strong functional and technical acumen to directly impact all aspects of the requirements, design, development and operations of a complex, multi-tier, enterprise digital and eCommerce platform. The Technical Analyst plays a significant role in maximizing the value produced by the team and ensuring the ECommerce Platform continually meets evolving business needs across a customer-base spanning customer-facing channel product teams, 3rd party integration partners, restaurant team members, franchisee owners, and corporate support center employees. This individual will work with a talented team of internal and external resources in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, Agile environment.

  • Juggle multiple high priority tasks to support Agile software engineering lifecycle, rollout, adoption, and ongoing operations for the eCommerce Platform.
  • Work with vendor product engineering and operations teams through the end-to-end product lifecycle and delivery of the eCommerce platform, from writing requirements and acceptance criteria through production releases as well as ongoing operations.
  • Understand and anticipate complex, cross-functional business, restaurant end-user and integration needs; and translate those needs into actionable business and technical requirements, designs, and acceptance test criteria for product engineering teams.
  • Build and maintain an expert functional and technical understanding of the platform architecture and ecosystem to rapidly collect feedback, research logs, and analyze data to evaluate problems and inform and recommend the design of efficient solutions.
  • Work with product engineering and other technology and business stakeholders to create and refine features and stories as part of grooming the team backlog, and anticipate and clarify implementation questions during the engineering process.
  • Create and execute release acceptance, regression, and smoke test plans as part of an ongoing rapid, Agile release process to deliver platform fixes and improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to solicit feedback and form rollout and training plans in support of the platform rollout and new feature delivery.
  • Share in accountability and responsiveness for monitoring, troubleshooting and ensuring uptime of the revenue-generating eCommerce platform product.
  • Attend and participate in Agile team ceremonies including PI Planning, Standups, Demos and Retrospectives.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of product users, supporting technologies, 3rd party integrations, technical and UX design best practices, and the competitive landscape.
  • Responsible for data collection and measurement of business and technical/operational success KPIs.
  • Appropriately identify and raise issues and risks to Management and team members.
  • Clearly & concisely communicate in both written and verbal form, at any level of the organization.
  • Contribute to a culture of accountability for high-quality technical delivery across internal and 3rd party vendor team members.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Occasional work outside of regular business hours, based on business needs.
  • Occasional travel may be required (<5% of the time).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential skills include:

  • Ability to facilitate work across high-performance teams to rapidly develop and implement innovative, sustainable cloud-based solutions.
  • Proficiency with Agile development environments and related management toolsets such as JIRA and Confluence required.
  • Ability to produce clear documentation and reports for project-related work. Includes the ability to clearly present status or other key information to the management team.
  • Proficiency in integration development and testing tools to support design and troubleshooting – e.g. Postman, SQL, cloud-based logs
  • Proficiency in standard office equipment and computer software including Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Strong working knowledge of cloud-based platforms such as Amazon Web Services is a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of distributed POS systems in a restaurant or retail environment is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional follow-up and sense of urgency.
  • Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Strong personal commitment to integrity and professionalism.

Education and work experience requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems / Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred but not required.
  • 3+ years working with Agile software engineering teams with demonstrated working knowledge of Agile process, principles, and product development process.
  • Deep technical background or prior development experience required.
  • Experience in user interface / experience design and integration design
  • Experience with distributed restaurant or retail systems preferred but not required.

HUMBLE: You have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems preferred, or equivalent work experience. You have experience working with eCommerce teams. Despite your resume, you feel there is always opportunity to further your personal and professional growth.

HUNGRY: You have at minimum 5 years of experience with eCommerce teams in an integrated, distributed, multi-unit restaurant or retail environment. You have a fire in you to keep pursuing excellence. Experience with the OLO eCommerce platform is a plus but not required.

SMART: You’re skilled in planning, organizing and multi-tasking using excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills. In addition, you have strong personal commitment to integrity and professionalism.

SERVICE-MINDED: Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with all levels of the management team. An independent thinker, an excellent problem solver, and a leader at heart. Represents the Digital team at project planning and implementation meetings.

ENTREPRENEURIAL: You work with an owner’s mentality when making recommendations about how to apply learnings to future plans. However, you also have a strong ability to work independently, as well as with internal teams, cross-functional teams and vendors. In addition, you have excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.

So, what does ‘all in a day’s work’ look like to a Wing Expert in this role? Your day could shape up somewhat like this:

  • Daily standups, various product planning and development team meetings

  • Formal and informal meetings with various end-users, stakeholders, and leaders throughout the business to collect feedback, address issues, train on new feature development, and clarify product requirements and priorities

  • Routine need to shift priorities from partnering with external partners to coordinating with key vendors, internal stakeholders and/or franchise restaurant owners to clarify requirements detail, remove blockers and drive execution

  • Embedded time with various members of the Operations and Technology teams for whiteboarding, deep-dive discussions, and collaboration sessions.

  • Create and review presentations, user stories, design / architecture diagrams and/or documents / training materials.

  • Review and test user stories for acceptance as part of frequent release cycles.

  • Demos, retrospectives and other Agile ceremonies.

YOUR IMPACT

Wingstop has a cult following and established place in culture, due in part to the robust social following and unique brand voice that sets Wingstop apart from the industry. We are seeking an Associate Manager of Social Media who will bring Wingstop’s voice to life, interacting with fans on all social channels, executing a culture-driven strategy proactively and reactively, driving influencer and celebrity contracting and developing the organic content calendar. This role will work in close partnership with our agency partners and the cross-functional Wingstop marketing team to maintain an “always on” social drumbeat that capitalizes on cultural happenings and brand priorities.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Drive community management on organic social media channels, engaging with fans, monitoring conversations, and reporting weekly on trends.
  • Manage and develop plans to help grow fans and audience engagement, ensure content is consistent with brand guidelines and overall presence.
  • Develop content calendar and posting schedule across Instagram, TikTok, X, Threads, YouTube and Facebook, executing postings, all rooted on cultural, guest and business insights.
  • Lead special projects and integrated campaigns involving social media and influencer / celebrity partnerships, working in lockstep with internal teams (Brand, PR, media, etc.) and agency partners. Must be comfortable providing input and serving as the social / influencer voice at the table.
  • Keep up with change and evolution of social media space to maximize effectiveness, and growth potential, serving as a subject matter expert for social media tools including Sprinklr, Social Media Platform Analytics, etc.
  • Conduct social media competitive analyses and utilize insights to refine social media activities.
  • Be able to move at the speed of culture in a fast moving and exciting culture with an agile and collaborative way of working.
  • Perform other projects and duties as assigned.
