We are seeking a Social Media Manager for a key role within the Marketing department that's obsessed with building communities for our team sports brands: Shock Doctor, McDavid and Cutters. Summary Of Position

The Social Media Manager will define and execute USB's social media growth strategy for Shock Doctor, McDavid and Cutters. This includes the day-to-day management of organic storytelling, content activation and community management to drive awareness and engagement. This role interacts cross-functionally with brand marketing and the go-to-market teams to support company objectives while ensuring consistency in the voice and tone and ensure that each brand is uniquely supported and represented across priority social channels-primarily Instagram and TikTok.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated passion for connecting brands to consumers via social media, combined with skills for leveraging creative partnerships and promotions while engaging in an authentic way through relevant social media content. This role is key in representing our consumers' social experience. Love of sports is a major plus.

Essential Functions

Organic Social MediaDevelop and maintain a high level of community engagement on social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook) to support growth objectives that result in increased brand advocacy and awarenessOwn and develop the social media content calendar, including leading monthly meetings to review plans and solicit input on future opportunitiesCollaborate with internal creative services team on current trends and planning content creation needsRecommend post frequency on each channel and execute organic posts across all channelsExecute giveaways, collaboration opportunities or other growth campaigns each month with and/or without brand partners or influencersIdentify best practices to promote all products across the portfolio of brandsMaintain brand voice across all channelsBe on the forefront of social trends, technology, and toolsShare best practices and how to engage and build a community organically

Social ListeningAudit and consistently monitor our brands' social presence, reporting out to teamMonitor competitors' presence and activityListen to networks, blogs and forums for brand mentions and keywords; identify ways we can continue to add value for these communitiesMonitor trending stories that might be related to our company's interests

ReportingDevelop dashboard and own monthly reporting and analysis of organic social channels and influencersEstablish KPI targets across all social channels and influencersPrepare analytics and monthly insights and reviews across platforms with actions for growth, engagement, new followers, and top performing creativeReport on competitor social activityTest and learn to optimize social media posts

Paid SocialAlign with E-commerce team and agency on paid social activitiesProvide insights and feedback to help shape creative, copy, and placement

Influencers & AffiliatesBuild relationships with influencers, negotiate activities (in exchange for product or payment) and monitor/track actions taken to support growth objectivesTest and learn to maximize value of partnerships with influencersIdentify opportunities to grow affiliate network and leverage synergies with influencersAssist in managing influencer platform

Content DevelopmentDesire and willingness to create select raw content for product and brand postingActively work with photographers and videographers to obtain event, ambassador, and athlete content

POSITION SPECIFICS:This is a full-time positionTypical work hours and days are Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.This position is based out of the Fountain Valley, CA office but eligible to work remote from time to time10%-15% travel is expected for this position

Pay TransparencyThe Company is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as your relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.The salary range for this role in Fountain Valley, CA is $ 65,000 - $75,000In addition, you may be eligible for additional compensation, such as a bonus. Employees may also be eligible for a wide range of other benefits, including health & wellness benefits, retirement, time off, employee discounts, and others.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:This position does not have any leadership requirements and/or responsibilities

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) - preferred major in marketing, digital marketing, communications, journalism, etc.2-3 years of social media/marketing experience with expert understanding on publishing, tracking and listening platformsThrive in a fast-paced, changing, deadline-driven entrepreneurial environment with multiple, competing prioritiesOrganized, solution & detail-oriented, self-motivated, who can easily transition between multiple tasksExcellent verbal and written communication skills with amazing attention to detailProactive, problem solving, self-starter with the ability to work independently with little oversightSeasoned thought-leader with a knack for identifying emerging trends, anticipate changes and suggest next movesKnowledgeable about team sports.
