Our business combines verticals focused on deep industry knowledge with several specialist areas that work horizontally across those sectors. Our specialist areas work together in Innovation & Creative Hubs around the world.

We would like to appoint a VP, Influencer & Social to become an accelerant and further catalyst for development of our Innovation & Creative Hub in NY, being part of the team that turns this in to a leading creative, strategic and innovation center of excellence for our clients & the network.

Our influencer marketing work has grown at a fast pace over the past few years; client demand, potential for growth and huge amounts of integrated opportunities means that we’re able to elevate our work to new levels. Alongside this, we’re seeing greater hunger for social support in all its guises – from strategy to content creation, publishing and management. These two workstreams are intertwined, and so often support one another.

As such we’re looking for an experienced VP to be the go-to expert for these two areas, driving excellence in best practice, creative thinking and being the strategic lead for several of our bigger accounts.

The role requires a mentor who can talk from experience but think practically about where the industry is headed. They should be able to answer technical questions, but also have gravitas to present to senior clients and counsel our client leaders in a collaborative and impactful way.

What you'll do:

  • Work in collaboration with our SVP, Content & Publishing Strategy to develop influencer and social-driven accounts across the US, proactively engaging clients on business issues and identifying potential opportunities for growth
  • Line manage and oversee the US Influencer & Partnerships (I&P) team to guide on strategy, execution and performance, taking their own learnings into account and creating a collaborative environment
  • Collaborate with our social experts in the Content & Publishing Strategy team to help bring fresh thinking to existing clients, pitch for new business and elevate the quality of our social work
  • Managing client relationships, alongside our client leads, and being a trusted partner to them
  • Communicating and proposing relevant services to clients
  • Proactively identify new vendors and tools in the influencer and social spaces
  • Accurately develop and manage budgets
  • Driving consistency in the way KPI and measurement approaches are used, and evolved
  • Acting as an agency champion and ambassador, recruiting and retaining top talent through interviews, onboarding, learning, development, and mentoring

What you'll need:

  • 8-10 years of influencer & social work within an agency environment or agency adjacent environment
  • 4+ years’ experience of managing teams
  • Experience in developing influencer & social accounts across multiple Sectors
  • Experience in pitching and retaining influencer & social clients
  • A perspective and POV on thought leadership within the industry
  • Proven portfolio of partnerships, vendors and key technologies
  • Experience of working within a communications or communications-adjacent agency to create a strong visual style or presenting is highly desirable

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $110,000 to $230,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
