Engine Shop is looking for a Senior Creative Strategist to lead the development of strategic foundations, lead the creation of innovative campaign ideas, and lead the agency in executing the campaign through multiple established and emerging channels. This person is not only a brilliant thinker, but a clear storyteller, a creative problem-solver, an influential leader, and an inspiring creator that can connect with internal and external stakeholders to build trusting relationships and award-winning work in market.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

The duties and the responsibilities reflect the general details necessary to describe the principal functions of the job and shall not be constructed as a detailed description of all related work assignments that may be inherent to the job.

  • Conduct research and transform observation into insight that inspires strategic direction.
  • Clearly and succinctly write strategic narratives to inspire and ground ideation.
  • Lead the ideation process through brainstorming both independently, with the team and alongside cross functional resources.
  • Lead the development of the deck / work at large, linking the ask and objectives to the strategy, to the creative and to the omnichannel tactics as part of the larger consumer journey.
  • Collaborate with internal and external design resources informing in the art direction / visual and spatial components of the creative strategy / idea.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, 3rd party vendors, freelancers and clients to execute necessary deliverables.
  • Comfortably and confidently pitch agency credentials, client work, and RFPs demonstrating why we are the people and agency best for the job.
  • Participate in the growth of business, both organically and in new business scenarios (RFPs), through the development of strategic and innovative work
  • Support agency marketing efforts (digital, social media, award submissions, thought leadership, conference appearances, etc.) and content development in partnership with our Head of Marketing.
  • Work alongside the Creative PM and Creative Leadership Team to ensure scoping, hours allocation, resource allocation and ways of working lead to a profitable creative service offering.
  • Lead junior creative strategists who are newer to the strategy and ideation discipline, guiding them in their growth and goals.

Qualifications, Education And/Or Experiece

  • Minimum 6 years of related experience
  • Strong research and critical thinking skills.
  • Inspiring industry, trend, cultural landscape intel.
  • Strong understanding of Physical and Digital experience design, production, operations, and logistics
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and time management skills.
  • Ability to balance and prioritize various projects simultaneously.
  • Experience multi-tasking and problem solving under pressure in a fast-paced, highly creative environment.
  • Skilled in fostering positive and constructive interactions with employees at all levels of the organization.
