Job Summary: This is an exciting role in a growing company. The ideal candidate for the position is a communications athlete with plenty of experience landing stories, working with executives and managing our approach to internal and crisis communications. Successful candidates have experience collaborating with seasoned executives and understand how to inform and update advisors, investors, analysts and board members. Having a plan to manage the stories that do not appear is as equally important as new solutions which come to market. You are a self-starter and creative strategist, as well as a great project manager with outstanding execution skills. Confidence and agility are essential, as is optimism, resiliency, and flexibility.
Responsibilities
- Handle all crisis and reactive communications
- Assist with Executive communications support
- Manage Epirus’s social media platforms with a deep understanding of the modern DoD influencer landscape
- Advise investor board members and engage with key influencers
- Work cross functionally to align communications efforts across mediums - web, digital, social, events, advertising and more
- Manage agency relationships and ensure projects stay on time and within budget
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, Journalism, or related field
- 3-5 years of successful experience marketing technology with documented results
- Proven success in building and sustaining successful social media accounts
- Ability to build relationships and trust with senior leaders
- Excellent writing and overall communications skills. A love for storytelling
Preferred Skills And Experience
- Commercial Industry/Government/Enterprise Marketing experience
- Collaborative; capable of working across all levels of the organization
- Knowledge of the Department of Defense and its organizations
- Organized; comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Has writing confidence to offset professional writers
- Self-starter, seeks initiative, learning mindset, seeks data driven insights, can work across multiple teams and personalities to gain agreements
Itar Requirements
- To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
