Title: Content Creator (Contractor)

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles has been an active affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International for more than 20 years. By providing affordable housing, home repairs, skilled construction training, financial education, and volunteer opportunities the organization has transformed millions of lives, helped stabilize communities, and fostered economic vitality in the region. On average, the affiliate builds and renovates 100 homes in the Los Angeles region, ranking it among the largest affiliates nationwide.

Habitat LA is seeking a Content Creator that has a great eye for video and photography and can capture content from our events to be made into engaging vertical videos. Habitat LA events are opportunities for volunteers to come out and help build affordable homes at our current development(s). The Content Creator must be able to travel to and from the events and have the necessary equipment to capture quality content and edit videos. This is an on-site / hybrid position with most volunteer events in LA County or surrounding areas.

Summary Of Essential Functions

  • Capture photos and video content at events (some events will be on Saturdays).
  • Create engaging vertical videos to be shared on social media channels.
  • Create carousel images with unique formats that are visually attractive on social media feeds and generate engagement.
  • Repurpose YouTube videos to be featured on IG, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
  • Assist the social media team with posts, content, and requests
  • Must have access to reliable transportation to perform job duties, a valid CA driver's license, and meet the state-required amount of personal automobile liability insurance.

SUMMARY OF JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Photography and videography experience- an eye for engaging social media content.
  • Experience with social media channels: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn
  • Knowledge of social media trends and challenges
  • Experience with YouTube
  • Experience with Canva.

WORK CONDITIONS

  • Frequently is required to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • May occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent movement around the office/warehouse/ReStore may be necessary.
  • Noise levels are moderate to loud depending on the work area.

  • Hourly rate of $25 per hour.
