Kat Burki Skincare was founded by a world-renowned expert in gut-skin healing who wanted to create a line of skincare that approached skin health based on the principles of Nutritional Biochemistry. After a successful career in nutrition, disease management, and healthcare law, Kat Burki could not find products that focused on the skin's overall health. Instead, existing brands only seemed to concentrate on single ingredients and one-off solutions. Kat Burki had a revolutionary idea that would change the game of skincare.

The Social Media Associate supports and executes the global social media strategy across multiple platforms while keeping Kat Burki’s omni-channel marketing strategies in mind. This individual is responsible for being well-versed on social trends & metrics and helping guide content creation for social platforms. The Associate will be responsible for growing brand awareness, fostering community growth, and ultimately driving positive perception within consumers’ minds and industry.

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports and executes the global social media strategy across multiple platforms
  • Contributes to global content strategy by keeping up with social trends, metrics, and content creation for social platforms
  • Responsible for growing brand awareness, fostering community growth, and ultimately driving positive consumer perception within consumers’ minds and cosmetics industry
  • Familiar with building effective campaigns while maintaining brand marketing and identity to help build strong organic social strategy
  • Collaborates with Marketing team in designing social media campaigns supporting product launches based on key business objectives
  • Partners with Sales and Online marketing teams to support local activations and .com needs
  • Partners closely with PR & Influencer team on all facets of influencer marketing
  • Collaborates on strategic content planning with Director of Content
  • Supports PR & Influencer team on earned media, influencer partnerships, and outreach
  • Helps draft monthly content briefs based on learned insights for creative and content creators to execute
  • Assists in the development of content for seasonal/calendar moments, trends, and supplemental evergreen content on global social accounts
  • Collaborates with creative operations and in-house content creator to execute the development of social assets
  • Works with social insights tools to keep a close eye on content, constantly aware of what is performing (or what is not), and continuing to optimize
  • Responsible for management and organization of assets released from Global Creative and all social assets
  • Owns communication with key cross-functional partnerships on timelines, feedback, and deliverables
  • Leads community management and monitoring owned brand pages including liking, commenting, and responding to comments and DM’s
  • Point of contact for Global markets regarding all community management inquiries

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of social media/community management experience in Beauty, Fashion, or Luxury required
  • In-depth understanding of social media platforms (specifically Instagram and TikTok)
  • Experience creating and editing content within Instagram, TikTok and editing platforms preferred
  • Experience with Photoshop and/or Adobe tools a plus
  • Should be a self-starter and have a keen ability to work on multiple projects with cross-functional partners and teams.
  • Demonstrates ability for synthesizing results and turning insights to action.
  • Must possess pro-active critical thinking skills and the ability to take initiative, anticipate next steps and offer recommendations and solutions.
  • Must be consumer focused, eager to engage with our audience daily with a fundamental interest in community and trends.
  • Must be organized and highly detail-oriented, double-checking work with unprompted follow-through.
  • Must be professional team-player, flexible, positive, engaged, responsible, creative and willing to continually learn with the potential and desire to assume increased responsibility.
  • Must have strong and concise verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
