Overall Responsibility

At Pete & Gerry’s, we squawk the squawk and walk the walk. We were the first-ever Certified Humane and B Corp Certified egg producer in the country. And guess what? We’re on the lookout for an eggfluencer to join our mission. If you're an egg aficionado with a knack for cracking jokes (and eggs!), a storyteller with sunny-side-up charisma, and someone who excels at whipping up premium content designed to compel consumers to select our eggs above all others, you might just be the one we're looking for.

You'll be the creative executional force behind videos that showcase our superior farming practices and products. You'll work closely with our digital team, reporting to the Director of Digital & Creative, and rubbing feathers with our Chief Marketing Officer, fantastic partner farmers, retail partners, and all departments within our organization. Content will focus on educating about our premium products and practices, showcasing the quality and taste of our eggs in the kitchen, and developing meaningful relationships with new and existing fans.

We are open to remote workers who love to travel and be in on the action. Regular visits to capture content on our farms, in our offices, and with our retail partners are expected (~20%). Preference given to applicants on the East Coast as that is where the majority of our offices are located.

Create timely, on-trend video content

  • Create timely, on-trend video content for each of our brands’ (Pete & Gerry’s and Nellie’s Free Range) digital channels that resonates with a wide range of egg lovers
  • Forge lasting relationships with viewers through beautiful imagery, informative education, thoughtful social engagements, and effective product & business differentiation
  • Assume the role of on-camera talent, leveraging your charisma to connect with our audiences
  • Work hand-in-wing with the Marketing and Social teams to cook up content strategies with clear calls to action
  • Conceptualize and script out short form videos for products, brand stories, farm tales, retailer highlights, and employee features in line with our unique value propositions
  • Write/edit closed captions for each video, draft post copy keeping hungry Google searchers in mind, and respond to incoming comments
  • Work with strategic content management in mind; develop and manage an intuitive content database, tag, categorize, and archive content in an easily accessible manner
  • Stay on top of trending social content and bring forth ideas on how to integrate into our channels to help keep us agile and relevant
  • Generate positive brand awareness and affinity, earning a winning spot in the hearts & homes of consumers, ultimately driving branded egg purchases
  • Maintain brand guidelines like a pro, ensuring our identity is as consistent as the perfect egg flip

Perform analysis and deliver insights to drive actionable decision making

  • Provide extensive reports spanning content across platforms, generating insights hotter than a fresh-out-of-the-pan omelet that help us sharpen our content and delivery
  • Scramble through platform analysis and monitor industry trends to identify new opportunities and expansion

Build strong relationships across the organization & greater food industry to facilitate content production

  • Elevate our position as a thought leaders by hatching interviews and endorsements from internal leadership team and farming partners
  • Engage across departments like a friendly hen, making sure everyone’s in the coop for new content opportunities. Role model exceptional team development within Marketing
  • Partner with sales organization and customers to hatch plans promoting our retail accounts and in-store activations
  • Collaborate with like-minded brands and agency partners, producing content that helps our overall mission towards kinder, better food systems

Requirements

  • You have a diverse and impressive portfolio of video content that shines within the CPG space – you know how to make our eggs stand out in a sea of ordinary eggs.
  • You know your way around the kitchen, crafting your own recipes and recreating recipes you find online with your own twist
  • You possess a deep understanding of SEO best practices, social media trends, and social media analytics and enjoy navigating algorithm updates
  • You can translate a brand's unique tone into content that holds our audience's attention and compels them to choose our eggs
  • Attention to detail isn't just a skill for you; it's an obsession. Two spaces after a comma or an extra period at the end of a sentence? You spot them like a hen spotting a worm
  • Fast-paced environments don't ruffle your feathers; in fact, you thrive in them while holding yourself to high standards
  • Your passion isn't just for eggs; it extends to making positive strides for animal welfare, supporting better farming practices, and nurturing the environment – in line with our B Corp mission

Compensation

  • We offer a competitive compensation package with everything you’d expect: competitive salary, health/vision/dental/life/disability insurance, 401K with match, Flex Spending Account, paid vacation/holiday/sick/parental leave time, tuition reimbursement, and, of course—free eggs.

  • This position also offers a content performance-based bonus structure.
