Executive Director, Social Media & Content
JOB SUMMARY
The Executive Director of Social Media and Content is a seasoned social leader deeply passionate about crafting and executing the latest strategies, fostering community engagement, and driving brand storytelling initiatives. Operating within a high-energy, rapidly evolving landscape, they demonstrate exceptional prowess in expanding social reach and enhancing engagement across various platforms. They possess a keen content creator’s mindset and strong operational skills in leading, managing and executing original content productions on a regular basis. This executive will oversee the comprehensive deployment and performance evaluation of ALL original content across ONE/SIZE social media channels, with a primary focus on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. Their strategic acumen and creative direction will be instrumental in elevating brand awareness, fostering profitable growth across direct-to-consumer (DTC) channels, retail partnerships, and business collaborations. Moreover, they will spearhead sales initiatives and formulate omnichannel strategies, establishing the brand as a trailblazer in social-first marketing. Evaluation of content performance will be meticulously conducted against key performance indicators: The role entails close alignment with the Founder's vision, emphasizing captivating brand narratives, overseeing production with an adept media team, and implementing innovative upper-funnel social marketing approaches.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Define and put into action ONE/SIZE’s social media strategies and plans, making sure we spend our budget wisely, stick to schedules, and reach our OKRs and goals.
- Lead and manage the production of all our original social media content, helping our social production team grow and help build our studio.
- Help us refine and articulate ONE/SIZE’s real, genuine voice on social media, and build an engaged, positive, and supportive social community.
- Authentically communicate the ONE/SIZE brand story through innovative social media strategies.
- Support DTC operations and retail/digital partnerships, leveraging analytics insights for informed decision-making.
- Keep up with what's new in social media and how it works and build good relationships with our social media partners at platform HQs.
- Bring product education to life via engaging social content, develop an active collaboration with our Founder, in-house content producers, freelancers and UGC talent.
- Develop a full-circle strategy to lead community and consumer engagement across all platforms so that our communities feel seen and heard.
- Provide assets and stories to support PR narratives about our community and brand when relevant.
- Be the eyes and ears of the brand on social media.
- Elevate our product stories on social media by personifying product and our unique points of differentiation in an authentic way.
- Optimize social media posting and community management so that we work smarter not harder as we grow and scale our channels.
- Be budget conscious and analytical to demonstrate the effectiveness of spending as well as strong commercial and financial acumen in managing budgets and measuring ROI.
- Rally cross-functional partners from Brand Management, Creative, Retail, Digital, and DTC around a common vision to ensure thoughtful and strategic activation of ideas.
- Craft engaging online narratives focused about our community that goes beyond just product marketing - bring the “why” of the ONE/SIZE brand to life.
- Manage and coordinate weekly TikTok Livestreams featuring internal talent as well as external influencers, ensuring seamless execution and maximizing audience engagement opportunities across platforms.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree required, MBA is a plus
- Passionate about consuming content from every social platform
- 8-10 years of experience in social media with a sophisticated understanding of consumer trends and dynamics
- Ideally has work with a founder led brand
- Prior experience with top beauty brands
- Proficiency in campaign and social media production
- Proven record of building consumer brands in social and earned media
- A deep empathy for consumers and strong interest in fashion, culture and trends
- Experience building, leading, and managing a team of direct reports, with the ability to drive multiple projects at once
- Highly collaborative, with an ability to work well in a cross-functional team
- Strong work ethic and a can-do attitude
- Problem solving and entrepreneurial in nature
- Move quickly and feel comfortable having autonomy to lead projects
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Lifting: Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
