As a Marketing Communications Manager, you will lead marketing communications strategies, planning and execution to drive growth in this key Ecolab Institutional Business. A successful candidate will have excellent strategic skills, refined communications capabilities, a collaborative work style and a passion for brand experiences (internal and external) and commercialization. It is also ideal to have a background and passion to help maximize the role of digital marketing in driving customer consideration.

The ideal candidate will be an agile self-starter with a growth mindset and a demonstrated ability to achieve business results in a matrixed organization. You will be encouraged to bring new and different ideas to the team and will be offered flexibility in execution. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with portfolio and global marketing teams, RD&E, corporate account and field sales teams, training, and other communication teams across Enterprise and agency partners.

What You Will Do

Develop integrated marketing communications plans to support program launches and collaborate on the regional / global / channel rollout. (40%)

  • Lead development of go-to-market messaging and creative that clearly demonstrates Ecolab’s value in the channels where our customers reside
  • Strengthen customer experience and value messaging on website and at industry events
  • Create and promote compelling, engaging thought leadership content that differentiates Ecolab’s value
  • Manage cross-functional approvals and negotiate changes to create compelling material that complies with brand, legal, safety and other requirements

Set up and support customer journeys and generate awareness, interest, engagement and qualified leads through creative, targeted digital marketing campaigns (30%)

  • Define engagement goals to set direction
  • Create and manage dashboards for easy KPI tracking and continuous digital review
  • Develop and execute digital marketing plans, with agency partners, including but not limited to SEO optimization, paid search, programmatic, B2b trades, account-based marketing via demandbase and email marketing

Lead development of sales enablement tools and communication to support the Field and corporate account sales teams; Cultivate and manage internal communications channels as relevant to foodservice business (20%)

  • Manage development and brand standards across deliverables and channels, including advertising, social, editorials, thought leadership content, websites, videos, sales collateral, tradeshow assets, webinars, and more
  • Strengthen relationships across brand and industry partners by leading marketing communication strategy and tactics, including managing media strategy, schedules and placements

Merchandise marcomm and manage vendor partners including agencies, contractors and liaison with Ecolab corporate communications and division partners (10%)

  • Proactively and continuously assess communications strategies against business objectives, serve as strategic counsel on marketing communication strategies and adjust as necessary
  • Partner with marketing and finance to manage annual budgets

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in marketing communications or related fields
  • Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in hospitality-related markets such as commercial foodservice operations, restaurants, hotels, college campuses and/or services or products like training, equipment, ingredients, etc.
  • Ability to distill complex messages into bite-sized content to effectively connect with customers
  • Experience developing and managing effective strategic integrated marketing communication plans across multiple customer touchpoints and media channels
  • Proven ability to work independently while simultaneously managing all facets of multiple projects, including strategy, scope definition, timeline, approvals, etc.
  • Critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills balanced with vision and creativity; Ability to anticipate issues and see the big picture beyond tactics
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, attention to detail and use of sound judgment in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong budget management skills
