Culture Strategist
About The Role
Now, about the opportunity: Cultural Strategist. We are seeking a driven, communicative, reliable and insightful teammate with a strong background in agency strategic planning to be a well-rounded facilitator of strategic excellence, and collaboration– for our key culture-first brands. As a Cultural Strategist, your main job is to take ownership of cultural (to-multicultural) strategic projects and be seen as a leading day-to-day contributor. You’ll work with a Director of Cultural Strategy and Senior Strategic Planner to be the source of truth on the spaces your audiences occupy, the places they want to be, and intel on the competitive brands that we’re looking to edge out of our consumers’ minds. You’ll always have something interesting to contribute and are constantly sought out by partners across the agency because they respect your smarts and ability to problem solve.
You'll deliver the Cashmere Strategy OS, which is uniquely-built to forge more authentic connections for brands and ultimately unlock “undeniably dope” creative solutions that the culture (and multicultural audiences) engages with and even adopts as their own. Our process understands audience psychographics and behaviors (particularly GenZ multi-hyphens) – well beyond traditional demographics and personas – and mines for fresh cultural spaces where your brand can credibly live & lead in the culture surrounding your audience.
This position reports to the Director of Cultural Strategy and works closely with other strategists and creatives. Your work will move every project and pitch forward by setting the direction of our campaigns. Your application of actionable insights will shape breakthrough creative platforms.
You’ll be familiar with brand, campaign, cultural to multicultural audiences along with social strategies and frameworks, with the ability to take on solo tasks as well as collaborative projects. On dedicated clients, you’ll dig deep into the company’s brand, business, consumer, and cultural insights and status and will be continually devising ways to capture opportunities across our agency responsibilities (and even beyond) that lead to our clients’ success.
Organization and time management are crucial. You’ll work on more than one project and client simultaneously, balancing priorities in collaboration with your manager. Your communication skills are excellent, as you’ll engage with disciplines across the Media.Monks network to accomplish tasks with cross-functional teams.
