About the Role:
We are seeking a Head of Marketing to lead our marketing initiatives and drive the strategic direction of our brand. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in amplifying our brand, increasing sales, generating qualified leads, and enhancing awareness of our innovative solutions.
What you'll do:
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with our rapid growth business objectives .
- Lead, manage, and over time grow our Marketing department, which today includes Marketing Managers who oversee content, product marketing, events, and sales and partnership marketing, as well as in-house designers, and consultants, to ensure cohesive and effective execution of our markeing strategy.
- Devise and implement a holistic content and messaging strategy across all brand channels, including the website, creative ,email communications, social media, and more.
- Lead PR and comms planning to maximize mass market earned media opportunities by securing big brand pieces, building credibility through product features and awards, and always keeping the brand top of mind.
- Rapidly grow the brand's social media presence and following across all channels, and drive market engagement with the brand through social.
- Oversee all advertising creative strategy and development across paid channels, partnering with the demand generation team to scale media efficiently and unlock new opportunities for customer growth.
- Be a steward of the brand internally and externally, ensuring all channels and departments are working toward the same brand vision, brand tone, and brand personality comes across in everything external facing we do.
- Help the team identify the right marketing partnerships for the brand across product, content, and influencers, while constantly evolving our partnerships strategy based on learnings and trends.
- Innovate and execute differentiated product positioning and compelling narratives and executions that set Avive apart, fostering growth and establishing unparalleled market leadership.
- Drive the development of marketing materials and orchestrate high-impact feature releases that spur adoption and revenue. Establish a compelling approach specifically tailored for introducing new product enhancements, ensuring continuous innovation and customer engagement.
- Elevate storytelling and deliver exceptional copywriting for Avive’s revolutionary product across partner and customer touchpoints. Utilize your expertise to seamlessly manage end-to-end asset delivery, ensuring impactful and innovative outcomes.
- With the Product Marketing function reporting to you, you’ll be the essential "glue" within Avive’s Commercial organization to help bridge Marketing, Product, Sales, and various other departments. As the “glue” person, you’ll drive robust collaboration that helps the organization come to the right product roadmap and product messaging/campaign decisions that drive revenue growth and retention.
Who you are:
- An accomplished marketing professional with at least 10 years of experience in content, brand, and product marketing, ideally 5+ of those years in a leadership role.
- Creative thinker with a penchant for testing new ideas, coupled with a robust data-driven approach.
- Ability to distill complex concepts into digestible content for diverse audiences.
- You know how to make a brand stand out, and be viewed by audiences as the de facto leader in it’s product category
- Strong at crafting persuasive sales ad copy and mass market storylines, and adept at analyzing campaign performance metrics to drive iteration.
- You love to interact with customers to learn their needs, and how to best position our product for rapid adoption.
- Adaptable and patient, with a proactive mindset towards evolving company needs.
- Fast executor who prioritizes market testing over prolonged perfectionism.
- Versatile marketer with expertise in diverse mediums, including video campaigns, written content, in-person activations, influencer marketing, and more.
- Skilled in sourcing, interviewing, and managing industry leading contractors, consultants, and agencies while adhering to budget and performance metrics.
- You know how to build an all-star team and foster a culture that attracts and retains individuals that are high character, high-achievers, and incredibly creative!
Bonus points for:
- Having led or been a key contributor to a marketing team that has been a part of startup that has experienced rapid revenue growth and scaling is a big plus!
- Experience marketing a product ecosystem that includes both hardware and software solutions - preferably an IoT product! (Preferably this product is sold B2B, but B2C is also helpful experience!)
- Experience with marketing a product that sells through e-commerce as well as a broader omnichannel approach (i.e. e-commerce + outside sales + partnerships, etc…)
- In-depth understanding of the sales funnel stages and buyer journey dynamics. You know how to analyze customer behavior, spot trends based on certain events, and test and iterate creative marketing campaigns to optimize performance.
- Experience sourcing, collaborating with creatives, contractors, and agencies to deliver impactful marketing campaigns. You have a rolodex of trusted agencies you’d call that can deliver rapid results!
- Experience developing, producing, and sharing KPIs throughout the department and with senior management.
- Competence in project management tools such as Asana.

Anticipated salary range: $200,000 - $230,000
