Overview

The Associate Director, Content will partner closely with the Director, broader Content team, and OMD Old Navy team to uncover, develop and execute storytelling-first media + content experiences that make ON resonate in culture.

The ideal candidate is dynamic, detail oriented, and results driven. They should have a passion for and understanding of fashion, creator culture and next gen shopping marketplaces, and enjoy working in a collaborative environment that delivers multiple campaigns based on the evolving goals of ON. From a day-to-day perspective, the candidate will be responsible for delivering new ideas + spaces that inspire brand love and cultural relevance, managing the process from idea to execution.

As part of a fully integrated team across Planning, Activation, Marketing Sciences + Content, this role requires excellent communication and project management skills, a strong understanding of how to make brands resonate in culture, as well as knowledge of the entertainment, production, and commerce-connected elements needed to deliver partnership success.

Responsibilities

Strategic & Functional Lead

  • Support the Director and broader OMD team in implementing the ON planning process, while ensuring alignment with other cross-functional agency teams and client partners
  • Proactively seek out brand-relevant programs with social platforms, community-driven experiences, studio, and independent creator channels, surfacing the best ideas for consideration
  • Ensure Creator strategy aligns with client’s overall business goals
  • Effectively story-tell and share POV on opportunities aligned with ON via written and verbal channels
  • Support managers / cross team with status updates and support materials, ensuring clear and successful communication with ON clients, as well as agency partners on an ongoing basis
  • Understand and implement approved measurement models alongside MS to justify investment and quantify results from programs

Execution

  • Serve as main point of contact for clients and partners in the development and activation of multi-platform programs across the calendar year ranging from brand level, multi-partner/multi-brand ecosystems, to more focused executions for individual initiatives
  • Collaborate with Content, Planning and Activation leads to identify opportunities for integration + commerce connection, processes to leverage, etc.
  • Manage internal and external work streams for assigned projects
  • Ensure that deal terms and deliverables are translated into legal agreements, program timelines, and roles and responsibilities workstreams for clarity and executional success
  • Ensure pre, during and post program measurement and optimization plans align to KPIs and are in place prior to each program activation
  • Implement TCC proprietary tools to ensure effective and efficient process during program execution

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4-6 years’ experience in entertainment and content marketing, integrated partnerships, or strategic partnership development with a background in media or fashion/lifestyle space
  • Passion for and proven ability in identifying culture-first opportunities for brands; is curious and enjoys testing/learning new tech, social and connected platforms that connect with audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to understand business challenges and formulate effective solutions to drive positive impact
  • Superior written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills to handle multiple programs; ability to multi-task and manage multiple work streams
  • Experience working on an integrated team
  • Bachelor’s degree

Knowledge/Expertise

  • Experience in concept development, production oversight, and foundational understanding of working with talent
  • Experience working with various marketing communication channels (including social + emerging technology)
  • Can manage peer level clients, with a successful track record in account management and client service
  • Experience implementing effective measurement models, synthesizing data to prove value and program success

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
