Social Media and Community Engagement Manager
Oula is redesigning maternity care from the ground up. Our modern maternity centers combine the best of obstetrics and midwifery care to deliver a more evidence-based and personalized pregnancy experience. From our patient-centered medical team, welcoming clinic, and remote care platform, we are setting a new standard for pregnancy care that unifies modern medicine and human intuition. Our first clinic opened in Brooklyn in 2021. We've since opened a second clinic in downtown Manhattan with plans for more Oula clinics to come.
About the role
We are looking for an all-star Social Media & Community Manager to join our Marketing team. The role will help develop a clear social media and platform strategy, manage all current and new social platforms, as well as community engagement. This individual is equal parts creative and strategic, with an eye for the latest trends, what it takes to break through the social noise, and the ability to foster meaningful community across platforms. This individual must be comfortable using data to inform creative execution, and rolling up their sleeves - anything from filming patient-centered content at the Oula clinic, to helping execute an IRL event with an Oula brand partner. This person should be a team player who importantly is passionate about Oula's mission and deeply knowledgeable about topics surrounding pregnancy and birth.
This role is hybrid with flexible remote work and ability to capture content at our NY-based clinics and events. The Social Media & Community Manager reports to the Director of Marketing.
Key responsibilities.
- Bring the Oula mission, values and services to our audience through platform-specific story-telling
- Own the social calendar with the ability to ladder social plans to broader brand initiatives, company goals and service launches
- Tracking and reporting on metrics across social platforms
- Foster engagement of the Oula community across platforms: respond to comments, DMs, posting on other brand-aligned social pages
- Produce creative content on fast timelines, with the ability to jump on trends or relevant discussions quickly!
- Be a key contributor to the strategic roadmap and content strategy across all owned social media platforms, including but not limited to: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest (with oversight from the Director of Marketing)
- Support Director of Marketing on brand partnerships, influencer partnerships, and identifying potential partners who are aligned with the Oula brand
- Willing to take the lead on in-person event execution & community engagement initiatives
- Lead social media data analysis and reporting
- Work effectively with cross-functional teams, as well as support the full Marketing team and plans
Desired experience & qualifications
- Bachelors degree or above
- ~5 years experience managing social media for a brand or organization (experience in healthcare related industry a plus!)
- In-depth knowledge & experience with all social platforms
- Experience creating on-brand content (both video & static) and managing brand calendar
- Strong written skills, with a knack for social copywriting through brand voice
- Aligned to Oula's mission; empathetic and emotionally in-tune with patient & community experience
- Experience managing influencer/brand partner content feedback & deliverables, ensuring they are on-brief
- Ability to work independently and efficiently within a fast-paced environment
- Ability to be onsite in NY clinics or events, where needed
- Experience capturing, organizing, and presenting data
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

Oula offers a competitive total rewards package which includes base salary, and comprehensive benefits. Exact compensation inclusive of salary and any bonuses is determined based on a number of factors including experience and skill level, location, and qualifications which are assessed during the interview process. Salary Range
$80,000—$95,000 USD
