- We’re looking for a Manager, Social Media & Influencer to lead a team of savvy social experts to grow our brand presence and manage our narrative in social channels.
- You will be responsible for collaborative proactive social campaign planning, enhancing our organic & paid social strategy, advancing our social playbook and measurement strategies to demonstrate impact.
- You’ll leverage influencers to tell our story and develop ideas designed to drive engagement and build our follower community. - Lead a team responsible for social content strategy for @AmericanAir.
- Develop cohesive social strategy and tactics that drive growth and engagement across our current social channels (Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest and more) and assess emerging new channels. Optimize our presence, tailoring approach and content to each channel.
- Create social programming that amplifies our brand messaging and inspires our followers to engage and share. Ensure consistency in storytelling, visuals and tone.
- Manage influencer marketing program, content and curation of partners to further brand, content and licensing objectives.
- Consult on paid social strategy including platforms, ad placements and creative to optimize performance and deliver a cohesive social presence.
- Understand the American Airlines customer (and team member), to inform compelling, social-forward narratives
- Think about social media holistically and project manage content deliverables (e.g., photography, video, story boards) to execution by collaborating with creative team and social copywriters
- Define and establish social content calendar, including developing concepts and bringing them to life.
- Utilize data insights to lead content approach. Stay on top of trends in tools, measurement and technology to further team objectives.
- Lead brand advocacy strategy to enable our customers (and team members) to be our best amplifiers and champions.
- Measure impact of social media engagement and programs. Optimize current tools and platforms used for analytics, reporting, and tracking
- Oversee community management and the best way to engage followers with content to reinforce our messaging
- Manage and report social media production budget, media budget, influencer budget, and platform tool budget
- Manage agency partnerships.
- Participate in out of hours activities and travel as required.
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or equivalent experience/training
- 5 years social media, content and/or paid media experience with a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects
- Proven track record of creating and executing effective social media and community programs
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- Knowledge of and experience with various social media platform and tools, Adobe and Google analytics, link tracking tools
- Knowledge of SEO and content marketing best practices
- Experience with budget management and contract negotiation
- Organized, accountable, and action-oriented
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Culture-obsessed. Someone who lives and breathes social and has a special place in their heart for trending topics
- Agile and able to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Experience in leading, managing and developing team members.
- Creative and media agency management experience
- Solid understanding of traditional media KPIs and measurement with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making.
- Strong executive presence and ability to communicate to senior leaders.
- Ability to work with cross-functional groups and develop relationships with key stakeholders
