Job Description

The Assistant Manager, Global Communications works closely with the Director, Global Communications, Balmain Beauty to clearly express the vision of the licensor through storytelling, collaborating closely with regions, corporate teams, and the Fashion House. The Assistant Manager is responsible for the governance of monthly reporting and development of press and influencer marketing materials. This person is an integral member of the Balmain Beauty Global Communications team and will provide strong support to the regions.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

BRAND COMMUNICATIONS

· Brand Launch Strategy: Work with Global Communications Director to create best in class brand launch strategy and rollout; create big ideas to support launch calendar across PR, Influence, and Experiential.

  • Work closely with the Balmain Fashion House to support and connect fashion and beauty.
  • Work with the Director to draft all media pitches, press releases, toolkits, and other communications for the brand.
  • Support dissemination of all PR materials to markets and ensure consistency in execution and reporting.
  • Assist in managing Beauty and Beauty/Fashion talents & deliverables.
  • Partner with international regions/markets to obtain detailed planning calendars for execution of PR programs.
  • Review regionally proposed influencer lists for seeding, events, etc. ensuring that all proposed influencers are on-brand and represent the brand image; Share with Director for approval.
  • Liaise with PR Managers from affiliates and respond to daily requests/questions from global markets, including queries of PR programs, information requests and Balmain Beauty interviews.
  • Direct press and social requests to the relevant PR Manager.
  • Undergraduate degree and luxury experience preferred.
  • A self-starter with the ability to move projects forward.
  • Possesses the ability to build, foster and nurture strong relationships and gain the respect of cross-functional and affiliate team members.
  • Demonstrated ownership of programs; embraces big picture objectives and follows-through on details.
  • Accountable and very organized with the ability to handle a multitude of projects and prioritize.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication, who can well articulate needs and elevate issues.

· Support with globally and locally hosted events and ensure brand guidelines are respected.

VIP, INFLUENCER & MEDIA RELATIONSHIPS

· Work with Director and regions to build global influencer database that is representative of global consumers and maintains brand identity.

· Lead in discovery of new international media opportunities and outlets.

REGIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

· Manage monthly PR calls with Regional Marketing Managers and follow up on action items.

· Establish system to track global trends and planned response.

EDITOR REQUESTS/PRESS ASSET OR RELEASE REQUESTS

· Help develop PR and influencer kit concepts and manage production.

· Manage any global editorial requests.

MONTHLY REPORTING

· Coordinate and oversee press reporting pulling data from regions and PR agency.


Qualifications

· 2 – 4 years of experience in PR, Events, Influencer Marketing, Communications or a related field.

· Flexible team player with ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with agility and accuracy.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $73,150 to $109,200. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
