Social Media and Influencer Marketing Specialist

John Boos creates sustainable, high-quality, performance-driven equipment and workspaces that have inspired home cooks and chefs for generations.
We are looking for a Social Media and Influencer Marketing Specialist to join our team. In this role you will be social channel obsessed, building organic content, creating an engaging on brand experience for our customers, communicating with users across various platforms, and supporting high profile influencer collaborations. This is a multi-faceted role that will require B2C and B2B content management, copywriting, and influencer collaborations. A successful candidate for this position will have a strong background in social media marketing and content development with a keen eye for detail and exceptional communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with the Director of Ecommerce & Digital Marketing in development of social media strategy
- Source, develop and post effective social media content on all social platforms regularly including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and YouTube
- Lead the development, copywriting, and execution of comprehensive organic social media content plans
- Create and manage the social media content calendar
- Maintain and update social media platform shops such as Instagram Shop
- Create innovative, premium content that showcases our high-end brand as a leader in our industry
- Create compelling social media content that drives engagement, brand advocacy, and sales
- Have video editing skills, a good eye for a premium look and creating engaging edits for social
- Proactively research and approach algorithm updates, platform changes, and new content formats
- Work with Director of Ecommerce & Digital Marketing and influencer agency to help communicate, execute, nd measure the performance of influencer collaborations
- Support collaborations that align with our brand values and resonate with our customer base
- Monitor and respond to all incoming comments, messages, engagement on social media platforms; outwardly engage with accounts on social channels
- Deliver clear briefs and actionable feedback to design team for effective collaboration
- Ensure consistency in brand voice and messaging across all social media platforms
- Collect and present regular reporting with meaningful data and actionable recommendations on key metrics to Director of Ecommerce & Digital Marketing
- Assist in VOC data and consumer research
- Monitor and identify areas of opportunity using analytics tools to improve organic social, influencer programs
- Use internal content libraries and update with social assets as created
- Maintain familiarity with both John Boos and the competitor’s products and social media strategies
- Meet deadlines for assigned projects and proactively inform stakeholders of project status and updates
- Work closely with internal subject matter experts to identify compelling brand stories for social media
- Monitor trends within social media, social shopping, trade channels, and our industry
- Stay up to date with industry best practices, social platform hashtags, link updates, and more
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in merchandising, marketing, business, or a related field
- Minimum 2-4 years of proven experience in social media marketing with specific experience in organic social media and influencer marketing within an e-commerce environment
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing social media content that drives business results
- Experience using in-app creative tools (Instagram, TikTok) and outside tools such as Canva
- Experience with advanced social media tools such as AgoraPulse or related
- Copywriting experience to support various personas and the ability to properly use headlines and CTAs
- Ability to grasp trends on social media and act proactively
- Experience working collaboratively in B2C and B2B team environments
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated
- Responds well to feedback, upbeat, positive attitude
- Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks and deadlines simultaneously
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, Smartsheet or similar project management tools
LOCATION: Remote with occasional travel to the headquarters in Effingham, IL.
