Position Overview

The 30+ year company supports the petrochemical and manufacturing industry domestically and internationally and is positioned along the Houston Ship Channel providing training, occupational medicine, screening and innovative solutions to industry. This role is critical in driving the success of our marketing initiatives by overseeing content creation, managing marketing campaigns, and ensuring seamless collaboration across departments. The Content Marketing Manager will work closely with the Marketing Director to develop and implement strategies that enhance our brand, engage our target audience, and drive business growth. This role will primarily office on-site at HASC headquarters.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee the creation, curation, and distribution of high-quality content across multiple channels, including website, social media, email, and print
  • Manage, lead, and mentor a team of content creators, social media specialists, and marketing coordinators to execute campaigns and meet marketing objectives
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities to team members, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and fostering a collaborative team environment
  • Lead marketing projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all deliverables are met according to timelines and objectives
  • Creative and innovative implementation of marketing campaigns that align with brand messaging with precise attention to detail for editing and delivering feedback to team members
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to produce engaging and compelling content
  • Work closely with the Marketing Director and other stakeholders to plan, execute, and monitor integrated marketing campaigns
  • Coordinate with creative, digital, and sales teams to ensure campaigns are executed on time and within budget
  • Analyze campaign performance and provide actionable insights for optimization
  • Technical aptitude to learn new or customized programs quickly and desire to continually seek out educational opportunities on new tools and programs
  • Ability to engage audiences as the primary content creator and scheduler for the company website, email campaigns, promotional materials, advertisements, and occasionally podcasts, blogs, and other mediums
  • Maintain project schedules, track progress, and manage resources effectively
  • Collaborate with line of business leaders to establish priorities and assess current departmental and corporate needs to promote services
  • Attend industry events occasionally, as needed, including but not limited to conferences, trade shows, golf tournaments, networking mixers, etc.
  • Identify and implement creative ways to advance our marketing and business development efforts
  • Maintain department and personal expense budgets
  • Promote and sell all HASC lines of business with full knowledge of all products and services
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts.
  • Provide regular updates to the Marketing Director
  • Utilize data-driven approaches to refine marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Ability to work under pressure and balance many competing priorities in an organized manner
  • Other duties as required

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related
  • 10+ years of experience in a marketing role
  • Manager/Supervisor experience leading a team for 3+ years
  • Experience in the petrochemical or oil and gas industry
  • Valid and current Driver’s License
  • Strong initiative to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to lead meetings, conversations and present with authority
  • Analytical thinker with data analytics experience
  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • Experience with project, website, email, and social media tools (HubSpot, Asana, WordPress, etc.)
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Google Workspace applications
  • Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing
  • Thorough understanding of and ability to use Microsoft Office
  • Google Analytics certification, HubSpot certifications

Requirements

  • Flexibility to work various hours and/or travel as needed and required by the department, including early mornings, evenings and weekends
  • Ability to prioritize, excellent time management skills
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and make effective decisions
  • Willingness to work at different locations if the company need arises

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to read, talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle training equipment and tools, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The employee occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

This job is typically in an office environment at HASC HQ and will require minimal travel as needed. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Reporting Responsibilities

The Content Marketing Manager reports directly to the Director of Marketing. This position may have direct reports.
