Social Media Coordinator

As the Social Media Coordinator at Madison Reed, you will be responsible for supporting the execution of effective social media and influencer marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, engagement, and customer acquisition.

As the Social Media Coordinator, you are detail-oriented and analytical individual who lives and breathes social media and is skilled in self-producing and editing organic social content. This role has the opportunity to develop your skills in social media strategy, content creation, community management and creator management for a fast-scaling beauty brand. The role reports directly to the Sr. Manager, Social Media and Influencer Marketing, is full time and remote. While remote, this role is expected to travel up to 10% of the time including but not limited to team meetings, Business meetings, company-sponsored events, Hair Color Bars, department offsites, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning and scheduling of social media content across various platforms.
  • Assist in developing and self-producing engaging social media content, including captions, images, and videos, that align with the brand's voice and messaging.
  • Work with Madison Reed’s Creative Team to brief assets for Madison Reed’s organic social channels.
  • Support the creation of creative content ideas that drive engagement and support marketing objectives for all organic channels.
  • Assist in monitoring social media performance metrics and providing insights on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to support the execution of social media initiatives.
  • Review, provide feedback, and approve content from Social Media Interns.
  • Keep an up-to-date and organized bank of usable UGC content for organic social media, TikTok Shop, web, and email.
  • Provide community management support by engaging with paid influencer partners, monitoring DMS and engaging in relevant cultural conversations.
  • Measure impact & reports on all influencer campaigns via CreatorIQ and Sprinklr.
  • Support overall product seeding strategy from inception to compilation and assist with management of third party partners.
  • Manage VIP Hair Color Bar appointments.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest social media trends and industry best practices that will influence content ideation and execution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven ability for content creation, including capturing and editing content following organic best practices.
  • Comfortable appearing and speaking on Madison Reed social media channels.
  • 1-2 years of experience in social media marketing or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and their best practices.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Creative and innovative mindset.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data.
  • Proficiency in social media management and editing tools (e.g. scheduling platforms, task management systems, Capcut).
  • Interest in the beauty industry and a passion for social media and content creation.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize and work effectively in fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to work effectively across departments and teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft & Google Suite - MS Excel, Google Sheets, Google Slides, etc
