Compensation: $131,000 to $202,000 Annually

As a member of our global marketing organization, you’ll play a leadership role in the vision, development, planning, execution, and leadership of the SmugMug marketing strategy for Awesome. Working collaboratively across agency partners, product, and marketing leadership, you’ll oversee the development and execution of comprehensive go-to-market strategies, product positioning, and message development for product launches and growth campaigns.

As a people manager, the director of marketing invests in the success of each individual on their team, providing guidance, support, and direction. They are responsible for ensuring the team dynamic is cohesive and positive and championing the growth and success of each team member.

Awesome is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role is $131,000 - $202,000. This position is also remote-friendly, and as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Various factors, such as defined competency leveling and geographic location, will determine the final compensation for this role.

Your Opportunity:

  • In partnership with product, engineering, and marketing partners, lead integrated programs that create meaningful SaaS subscription and photo-product sales revenue growth for SmugMug
  • Increase conversion rates by systematically measuring, classifying, scoring, and optimizing lead-generation programs and conversion funnel(s)
  • Collaborate with our brand, product, and creative leadership to translate our brand voice and market positioning into effective growth-marketing solutions and campaigns
  • Manage the SmugMug’s marketing budget, including planning, forecasting, and return-on-investment assessments and reporting
  • Design, mentor, and scale the SmugMug marketing team to ensure we meet our strategic objectives
  • Develop and deliver effective go-to-market strategies and product announcements

What You Bring:

  • 7+ years of progressive leadership experience and team development, with specific experience in consumer-SaaS product marketing and growth innovation
  • Success designing integrated go-to-market strategies and optimizing growth-marketing investment
  • A unique balance of analytical skills and creativity and comfort with interpreting data, deriving actionable insights, and using those insights to inform strategic direction
  • An ability to develop and retain high-performing talent in a collaborative and empowering work environment
  • Balanced leadership style, possessing a high level of intellectual agility, a capacity for original thought, and the ability to define and communicate a clear vision
