The Senior Director of Content will be responsible for working with the Executive Director, Director and other team reports to drive Brand Relevance through Content. This person will manage important client relationships, leveraging and maximizing every dollar to create fan-first content opportunities for our client.

The ideal candidate will be dynamic, results-driven and enjoy a fast-paced environment that is evolving to meet the needs of our blue-chip clients. The role requires exceptional strategic competency, communication skills, a strong understanding of driving brand relevance through entertainment, and overall curiosity about emerging platforms.

As a part of The Content Collective team, the Senior Director will help develop Brand-specific content strategies by synthesizing large amounts of information into meaningful insights and human truths – ultimately creating bespoke partnerships that resonate with fans.

Strategic & Functional Lead

  • Work with OMD leads to develop strategic culture frameworks for content programs validated by data and signals
  • Develop and continually optimize annual planning process
  • Actively seek out programs driven by team objectives with media, studio, and creator channels
  • Work with cross-functional teams + agency partners to develop scalable tools to evaluate ideas
  • Understand and implement approved measurement models to justify investment and quantify results from programs
  • Partner with OMD investment and strategy teams to identify leverage points for programs
  • Develop cadence to interface with media clients and partners on a consistent basis

Execution

  • Work with cross-functional agency teams and partners to lead creative development and production of all content programs, identifying roles and responsibilities to execute multiple programs across a calendar year
  • Ensure pre, during and post program measurement and optimization plans align to KPIs and are in place for each program activation
  • Develop multi-platform distribution plans for programs

Team Management

  • Management of Content team in New York with 1-2x hybrid team members
  • Lead and motivate a strong team, ensuring a high level of quality delivered in all client commitments
  • Day-to-day people operations including but not limited to interviewing and hiring candidates to fill open positions, onboarding, talent development planning & management, real-time coaching and feedback, etc.

Thought Leadership

  • As part of the Leadership team, provides active support across new business pitches and marketing collateral
  • Bring forth new Partners + Ideas for OMD consideration

Requirements

  • Minimum 12 years’ experience in entertainment and content marketing, integrated partnerships, or strategic partnership development
  • Ability to instill client confidence by creating bespoke Content programs that deliver results
  • Experience in original content development + multi-platform distribution, inclusive of creators/influencers
  • Proven experience as a leader in a prior management position
  • Proven analytical, strategic thinking and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple work streams
  • Bachelor’s degree (communications, advertising, media or related field preferred)

Knowledge/Expertise

  • Demonstrated ability to understand business challenges and formulate effective programs that improve business results. A hunger to drive brand relevance & attention for our clients, resulting in real business results
  • Must be dynamic, agile and driven – possessing knowledge of and passion for entertainment and culture opportunities with specific focus on the intersection of Creators, music, technology, entertainment and pop culture
  • All things related to content, channel and commerce optimization, brand consistency, analytics and meaningful measurement
  • High level of competency in account management and client service
  • Background in concept development, production oversight, and talent management
  • Experience implementing effective measurement models, synthesizing data to prove value and program success
  • CPG Category experience a plus, but not mandatory

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, benefits include: health insurance, vision insurance, dental insurance, 401(k), Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account, vacation days, sick days, personal days, paid parental leave, paid medical leave, and STD/LTD insurance benefits.

Compensation Range$110,000—$175,000 USD

This role is hybrid, requiring three (3) days per week in the office. The remaining two (2) days may be worked remotely. Specific in-office days will be discussed during the interview process, with flexibility to align with team needs. Please note that the number or required in-office days may be adjusted over time, potentially increasing the number of required in-office days based on business needs.
