Digital Campaign Intern
We are seeking motivated individuals with a passion for progressive causes and an interest in social influence to join Vocal’s 3-month internship program from June to August 2025.
As a Campaign Intern, you'll work with our team in identifying and partnering with the best creator partnerships for our social impact clients. This is an incredible opportunity to learn from industry experts about the role of influencers and digital and social media in advancing social change.
About Vocal Media
Vocal Media is a social impact marketing agency. We build and activate powerful social media movements across the top social platforms: TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, X, and Discord. We work on issues like racial justice, climate change, and economic inequality, as well as creating cultural content around popular topics like health and wellness, beauty, fashion, sports, media, history, and everything in between.
The Vocal Media team brings together talent from music promotion, tech, digital marketing, influencer marketing, and political organizing to support progressive campaigns and organizations. Across the board, our team members believe deeply in helping organizations leverage social media to promote social good.
Responsibilities
Campaign Execution
- Effectively source and evaluate influencers based on their audience, content quality, and alignment with the client's brand
- Oversee communications with influencer partners
- Develop persuasive and engaging content ideas, creative briefs, and pitches
- Manage our influencer database and enter quality campaign data and metrics
- Track and analyze the success of campaigns to optimize future influencer partnerships
- Collaborate on designing bespoke campaign elements and strategy, including but not limited to: in-person events, creator resource-sharing and newsletters, roundtable influencer conversations, and more.
- Research industry and topic-specific content, trends, and audiences to inform content output.
- Support managerial staff in building out reports and campaign materials from a template
- Facilitate creator logistics and operations, including sourcing, pitching, sharing materials, negotiating, and contracting creators for campaigns with some level of management
Miscellaneous
- Create and maintain professional relationships with creators, creator managers, colleagues and clients
- Report out on task progress to Senior Campaign Staff, and to the Director of Campaigns on at least a weekly basis and as major developments or campaign hurdles arise
- Participate in synchronous team and client meetings, including daily communications with direct supervisor.
Qualifications
- Professional or volunteer experience in organizing, social media, or content creation
- Passion for progressive politics and strong cultural competency
- Understanding of an ever-changing social media landscape
- Great organizational & communication skills with a strong commitment to follow-through
- Ability to mange multiple competing projects and report to multiple Campaigns Managers daily
- Strength in independent work and task tracking
- Availability to work and attend meetings during regular business hours (i.e. 9-5pm local time)
Compensation
- Completely virtual work environment
- Work in any timezone within the continental US — EST hours not required
- $30/hr, no more than 15 hrs per week
