Head of Community
Community is at the heart of Luma's growth. Our users—creators, storytellers, teachers, developers, and innovators—inspire us and help shape how our products evolve. As our Head of Community, you'll be responsible for developing and executing Luma's community strategy, building and scaling a thriving global community ecosystem that is critical to Luma's success, and leading a team of community professionals.
The ideal candidate is a passionate community leader with proven experience building and scaling communities. You have a strategic mindset paired with tactical execution skills, and you're passionate about creating spaces where creators thrive. Experience leading community teams at creative technology companies and deep knowledge of AI ecosystems is a significant advantage.
What You'll Do
- Develop and own Luma's global community strategy — creating a comprehensive roadmap that aligns community initiatives with business objectives while ensuring our users feel valued, heard, and excited about our technology.
- Build and lead a world-class community team — hiring, developing, and managing community professionals who will help execute your vision across various segments and regions.
- Establish and scale our Creator Ecosystem — including our premium Creator Program, nurturing relationships with influential creators and building pathways for community members to grow with Luma.
- Design and oversee specialized community programs — creating targeted initiatives for students, educators, developers, and other key personas that drive engagement, adoption, and innovation.
- Create a community content and events strategy — overseeing AMAs, creative challenges, showcases, workshops, both virtual and in-person events that inspire, educate, and strengthen community bonds.
- Implement community intelligence systems — using data-driven insights to measure community health, identify trends, inform product decisions, and demonstrate community impact on business metrics.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration — working closely with Product, Marketing, Support, and other teams to ensure community insights drive company strategy and product development.
What You Bring
- Proven community building experience — with at least 2+ years in a leadership role managing a team (of whatever size) and budgets.
- Proven track record — of successfully scaling communities, particularly in creative technology, AI, or other relevant industries.
- Strategic vision coupled with tactical know-how — ability to develop and execute comprehensive community strategies that align with business goals.
- Experience building creator programs — and nurturing relationships with high-value community members.
- Strong leadership and team management skills — with the ability to hire, develop, and inspire community professionals.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities — adept at engaging with diverse stakeholders from community members to executives.
- Data-driven approach — experience using analytics to measure community health, demonstrate ROI, and inform strategic decisions.
- Creative problem-solving mindset — finding innovative solutions to community challenges and opportunities.
- Passion for Luma's mission — and a genuine enthusiasm for the creative potential of our technology.
Compensation Range: $150K - $250K
