As our first Director of Strategic Partnerships, you'll have the opportunity to build the function from the ground up. Reporting to the VP of Sales, you'll define and execute our partnership strategy, identify the right ecosystem players, and build high-impact relationships that drive growth.

Responsibilities And Impact

  • Build and own our strategic partnerships strategy
  • Identify, negotiate, and manage partnerships that align with Nominal’s growth goals
  • Develop scalable processes for onboarding, enabling, and growing partner relationships
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Product, and Marketing to ensure partnership success
  • Build and manage a team to help with partner outreach and pipeline generation
  • Represent Nominal externally and build a strong presence in relevant partner ecosystems

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, or strategic alliances — preferably in B2B SaaS
  • A proven track record of building partnerships from scratch
  • Deep understanding of mid-market GTM motions and partner ecosystems (e.g., SIs, VARs, tech integrations)
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically
  • Self-starter attitude — you’ll be our first partnerships hire, so comfort with ambiguity is a must

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Rolodex of relevant partners or experience in financial software, ERP, or adjacent spaces
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment
