Senior Global Social Media Strategist

Do you have a passion and love for all things social? We're currently looking for a Sr. Social Media Strategist to join our Global Marketing team to drive social efforts across various social channels, and manage the development, execution and optimization of social media campaigns. This individual will be a critical team member to scale social campaigns across international markets, ensuring creative excellence and optimization, and reports into the Global Director of Brand Marketing & Social Media.

This is a broad role and requires excellent knowledge of social media channels, content creation as well as demonstrable experience managing social media campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for leading development and execution of an engaging global social media content calendar
  • Lead content & design teams as well as external agencies to support the development of original and curated social content for multiple markets
  • Spearhead social media partnership programming with internal & external partners, including but not limited to custom campaigns & launch integrations
  • Develop a UGC process able to be used across the organization
  • Works in tandem with the overall integrated marketing & media team to lead strategy for both paid & organic social content within media strategy aligned to KPIs across the funnel
  • Lead on influencer marketing partnership working with agencies across International
  • Track social performance by owning social media calendar and pipeline, reporting dashboards, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports, and regular capture of social media data.
  • Develop social media analytics and reporting to constantly optimize social media performance by building best practices on content, distribution, amplification, and influencer marketing, in partnership with the analytics team. Sprinklr experience is ideal.
  • Stay at the forefront of trends and developments regarding social media platforms, identifying potential commercial and creative opportunities for Groupon and your audience
  • Effectively lead and builds partnerships across the organization to communicate learnings, recommendations and plans to key stakeholders.
  • Key liaison for Social Media within larger Marketing org.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8-12 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience leading the strategy for and managing a social media editorial team, working cross-functionally with internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience running paid social media campaigns, designing tracking, and measurement across social platforms
  • 8+ years of experience working with consumer brands on proactive campaigns
  • At least 5+ years leading results driven social media and influencer campaigns for consumer brands.
  • Experience managing a team.
  • Experience using social media management tools for content, reporting and insights (Sprinklr)
  • Experience using reporting tools such as sentiment analysis, meaningful metrics, consumer engagement, content analysis, and social trend hot sheets.
  • International experience desired.
