Purpose:

The Senior Brand Manager will be responsible for developing brand strategies, promoting brand growth and expansion, implementing brand plans, and using insights to drive volume and profitability. This role is highly cross- functional role will partner closely– working with Insights, PDQA, Product Management, Sales, Finance, Marketing, Digital and Communications. It is viewed as the hub of all brand decision making. The Senior Brand Manager will manage a significant brand portfolio and lead the P&L.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Think strategically to align brands with portfolio strategy and contribute to division five-year growth plan
  • Create and strengthen the brand(s) positioning, architecture, promise, plans and guidelines
  • Develop, influence and lead long term strategic brand roadmap initiatives that expand the brand presence, increase and diversify revenue streams and improve margins/profitability
  • Be a strategic leader in Product Development and manage Brand Product/Category lifecycle through launches and rationalizations that maximizes short- or long-term profitability
  • Develop and implement the annual marketing strategies, goals and objectives based on consumer insights that target the current consumer or attract new consumer groups and/or channels
  • Present Brand Health metrics by period, quarter and annually to leadership and sales teams with support from financial analysis and consumer insights
  • Prioritize strategic initiatives and overall project list, ensuring that resources are employed against those that will maximize growth
  • Present all Brand Initiatives to internal leadership team, support in key sales presentations and lead new product concept presentations and approval process internally
  • Be the “Brand Steward” and ensure all products, communications, promotions, and initiatives align with the brand
  • Effectively lead cross-functional teams with a leadership voice/reason to be for the brand to create alignment and drive results with defined KPIs/ROI
  • Manage and mentor Assistant Brand Manager with future opportunity to manage Brand Management and Marketing team members
  • Performs other relevant job duties as required.

Job Requirements:

Education/ Certifications: (Required & Preferred)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or Economics preferred or equivalent related experience and training
  • MBA a plus

Experience:

  • 5-10+ years Marketing or Brand manager experience at a consumer product company or agency
  • Experience with national brands or startups with investment
  • Prior experience as a strong leader of cross functional teams and influencer
  • Proven experience turning ideas into reality and tracking ROI or P&L impact
