INTRODUCTION

We are looking for a SVP, Healthcare Digital, with deep rooted passion for healthcare marketing and a highly developed expertise in digital and social strategy. In this role, you’ll work with Fortune 200 healthcare companies, and sell in digital strategies/offerings with clients and talent across both our agencies: MMC and RXM.

This role’s strong grasp on how to utilize digital content, social media, influencer marketing, paid strategy & amplification and targeted engagement techniques is complemented by a thorough understanding of business strategy and healthcare storytelling & reputation management. You’ll leverage targeted engagement techniques to drive strategic programs that are rooted in insight and deep platform knowledge, as well as in line with the parameters and guidelines of healthcare and other highly-regulated industries.

As a SVP who spans Specialty (Digital Influence & Innovation - Dii) and Practice (Healthcare), you’ll be responsible for identifying opportunities for the agency’s business growth with new and existing healthcare clients

Reporting to the GSVP, Corporate Digital Innovation, you’ll oversee a team of healthcare social/digital/influencer strategists and specialists and guide them in creating strategically sound, data- and-insight backed programs for clients, with the objective of growing and increasing brand presence through social media, online channels and influential voices. You’ll be tasked with nurturing and building this group and creating a mission within the Healthcare Digital team that elevates our thinking and offerings tied to the business objectives of our clients.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Functional Leadership & Management

  • Lead breakthrough work that complies with best practices and healthcare regulations - yet brings the creative ideas to life in interesting and unexpected ways
  • Partner with agency leaders across Brand Business, Business Strategy & Analytics, Creative, Earned Media to introduce emerging opportunities and new offerings/innovations to existing accounts, new clients and prospects
  • Stay abreast of key trends in healthcare campaigns online and offline, and provide expert guidance on successful leverage of digital marketing in this highly regulated industry

Client Service Excellence

  • Develop a unique POV within the healthcare digital space, and develop innovative strategies/offerings to sell with clients & talent
  • Build and own relationships with healthcare digital clients and agency team leaders, including Omnicom healthcare leaders; gain trust and establish mentoring/thought leadership opportunities
  • Present key plans and proposals
  • Be a lead voice and presence in the room during high-stakes healthcare opportunities

Business Development and Growth

  • Grow new business for Healthcare Group, including regular prospecting, networking and pitch leadership/participation
  • Identify and create new healthcare digital offerings, platforms, and partnerships
  • Proactively identify digitally-led ideas to grow the business at a senior level; grow organic and net new revenue

Agency + Team Leadership

  • Actively participate in the learning community for the healthcare space, both as an enthusiastic learner and one who shares knowledge with others
  • Provide thought leadership in your specialty, sharing expertise in both internal and external merchandising settings

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

  • 10-12 years of experience in healthcare digital leadership or strategy role: including digital, social, influencer, data and paid media
  • 5+ years in a supervisory role managing, motivating and leading teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field
  • Previous and recent experience in healthcare, including Rx, OTC, DTC and HCP accounts – oncology experience a big plus!
  • A deep understanding and demonstrated experience in leading digital, social and influencer strategies to move the needle for brands
  • Understands the ecosystem of digital strategy, can guide the entire digital process; specific experience in UX, Web development, various platforms are a plus
  • Well-developed analytical skills
  • Outstanding communications skills (verbal, written, and presentation) and a dynamic social presence
  • Strong understanding of and experience in the relationship between traditional media and the use of current online/digital technology and social media
  • Proven experience in successfully navigating an integrated agency structure
  • A dynamic, invested team leadership approach
  • A deep understanding of measurement and reporting, experience with tools and analytics
