Director of Marketing & Audience Development
Betches Media is seeking a Director of Marketing & Audience Development to drive the strategy, development and execution of audience growth, engagement and loyalty across its portfolio of brands and verticals. Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Marketing & Audience Development will be responsible for growing the Betches community, engaging and connecting consumers with the Betches brand, and positioning Betches as the leading voice of millennial women across all verticals.
You will be responsible for increasing audience reach and engagement across all original and branded content on all platforms (social, podcasts, email, newsletters, events & website). You will oversee the development of marketing strategies, communications plans and special initiatives designed to differentiate Betches and attract new audiences and customers. You will partner closely with all areas of content to promote their work and ensure content has the widest reach possible. You will work closely with Sales & Brand Partnerships to develop, build and pitch creative 360 marketing campaigns that touch on all areas of the Betches brand.
The ideal candidate is a digital brand marketer with knowledge and experience in audience development, paid social execution, brand PR, event planning and execution, influencer marketing, brand integrations and performance marketing campaigns. The candidate should be able to think strategically across multiple media and marketing channels with a focus on building loyal audiences and expanding Betches Media across each. The candidate must possess familiarity and strong enthusiasm for entire Betches Media brand, content verticals and products and the utility we offer to our audience.
ROLE & REQUIREMENTS:
Marketing Strategy & Development
● Create, implement marketing campaigns that drive lead generation and support the overall brand positioning
● Concept, ideate and lead ongoing marketing efforts across all Betches social and digital platforms, IRL through event marketing & brand partnerships
● Ideate and execute new creative cost effective ways for growing audiences
● Spearhead year-long marketing strategy through organic and branded content initiatives
● Spearhead strategy and execution of collaborations and brand alignments
● Create out of the box ideas to gain new audiences
● Collaborate with all team members to develop and implement new series, ideas and marketing strategy for all original and branded content
● Execute ways / process new ways of making a connection between our verticals
● Manage PR relationship while building PR worthy moments to help grow Betches audience and recognition
● Develop and manage annual marketing budget for executive and operations teams
Multi-Platform Content Strategy
● Lead team in the creation of innovative, funny & forward-leaning multi-platform content that generates buzz and increases engagement for all Betches Media
● Create distribution strategies for content internally to Betches and externally while collaborating with content creators across all platforms
● Lead strategy for developing / fostering the Betches community
● Develop concepts that are aligned with the brand’s content strategy and positioning, that are uniquely designed for the specific platform
● Pitch high level storytelling for the digital space and partner with teams on the development of content, from ideation through execution
Audience Development
● Experience launching multi-platform marketing campaigns to enhance audience development through social, digital and email collection
● Strong emphasis on understanding importance and measuring accurate ROI on any marketing efforts
● Outline success measures for all areas of content based upon organizational goals and performance
● Strong experience with creating successful email marketing campaigns
● Deep understanding audience development metrics with a focus on loyalty and growth
● Knowledge of demand generation best practices across inbound, outbound and digital marketing
● Management of internal and third-party analytics tools and reporting on KPIs
Team Leadership
● Motivate, mentor and develop marketing team members and lead the professional development of direct reports
● Lead team in the ideation, creation and execution of all marketing content, across all platforms
● Establish marketing team KPIs and support team to achieve goals
QUALIFICATIONS:
● 5+ years of marketing, audience development and multi-platform content experience
● Proven experience that shows a creative vision in developing interactive content and campaigns for a media and/or entertainment brand
● Expertise in forming and executing disruptive, creative, and impactful ideas / events / stunts
● Awareness and understanding of latest marketing trends across all digital, social media, and video production
● Experience in event planning and execution, branded integrations, influencer marketing, paid marketing and targeted advertising
● Deep understanding of how users interact with digital content and paid media, and how to create great user experiences
● Analytical thinker with the ability to translate data and insights into actions that drive growth across communities and customers
● Ability to manage and guide direct reports, work independently and multi-task
● Ability to build, manage and allocate a marketing budget
● Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, verbal communication skills & strong attention to detail
● Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
● Ability to be flexible & agile in a fast-paced media industry
● Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint/Keynote
