The Marketing Senior Manager is responsible for the creation and execution of the Green Sprouts marketing strategy across all channels, exceeding brand- and marketing targets, and defining and implementing specific GTM, communications, demand generation, and content strategies. This role is a highly impactful role within the organization.

The ideal candidate is innovative, aligned with the Green Sprouts mission and values, has an entrepreneurial and self-motivated mindset, has a deep understanding of CPG- and omni-channel marketing, and has experience managing designers and copywriters to develop compelling creatives.

This role will report to the Director of Marketing and Sales, and will work closely with Product Development, Sales, and Customer Experience.

This role will directly manage:

  • Public Relations Manager
  • Brand Design Coordinator
  • Marketing Associate

This role will be responsible and report on Brand and Marketing objectives and metrics, including Brand Equity, Brand Loyalty, Brand Awareness, and Consumer Sales.

This is currently a fully remote position due to COVID-19 but may transition to an in-house position in our Asheville, NC office. Long-term remote opportunities may be available for the right person.

Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy and Management

  • Design and execute a comprehensive omni-channel marketing plan, developing new, innovative initiatives and optimizing current initiatives that establish Green Sprouts as a thought leader and lifestyle brand in the natural products and juvenile industries, grow brand equity, and support direct-to-consumer sales growth.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing to evolve our brand strategy, messaging, and positioning and to create a roadmap for our brand story.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor our internal Marketing team, driving and prioritizing high-impact marketing initiatives and processes that grow the Green Sprouts brand.

Brand and Market Research

  • Lead brand- and market research initiatives, answering big-picture questions about our market share, market opportunities, macro trends, and competitive advantages.
  • Refine and develop consumer profiles to better understand, target, and acquire new customers, along with identify new avenues and markets for expansion.

Go-to-Market

  • Play a key role in the Product Development process, working cross-functionally to define the go-to-market plan for new products and product enhancements, aligning internal stakeholders on key milestones, and ensuring successful product launches.
  • Work cross-functionally with the Product and Sales teams on packaging, merchandising, product inserts, digital collateral, and product copy that tells our brand story and differentiates our product on both the physical and digital shelves.

Communications

  • Oversee all brand and marketing communications, including press and media initiatives, influencer relations, email marketing, and social media.
  • Explore parenting groups, forums, social media, and more, advocating for and sharing resources on natural parenting, plant-based products, material safety, child development, nutrition, and the Green Sprouts brand.

Asset Management

  • Lead the design team in the development of all print- and digital assets and collateral, including our website, landing pages, catalogs, mailers, sell sheets, and campaign assets.
  • Oversee all photography and videography initiatives, both internally and outsourced.

Demand Generation

  • Work collaboratively with our Online Sales Senior Manager and outsourced agencies on all performance marketing efforts on Amazon, Google, and social, ensuring brand and campaign alignment and a ROAS focus.
  • Oversee our affiliate- and partnership programs, ensuring we are meeting or exceeding growth targets for our consumer website and brand reach.

Content Marketing

  • Together with the CEO and Director of Marketing, drive the content strategy for growhealthygrowhappy.com and help to facilitate content initiatives.
  • Seek and acquire high-impact partnerships and collaborations with experts in the juvenile products and child development space.

Internal Marketing

  • Work cross-functionally with our Culture and Community Manager on a company newsletter, highlighting key initiatives across the company, recognizing success, and creating a positive company culture.
  • Communicate and hype the efforts of the Marketing department within the company, understanding the role that Marketing plays in the “heartbeat” of the organization and getting team members excited about our brand campaigns, new products, and marketing initiatives.

Competencies, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of CPG brand, marketing, and/or product management experience required
  • 2+ years leading the development of impactful creatives; managing copywriters and designers
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Advertising, Marketing, or Business strongly preferred
  • Deep understanding of brand and product management fundamentals required
  • Deep understanding of direct-to-consumer growth strategies
