ROLE OVERVIEW

This is a multi-faceted, cross-functional role focused on leading our overall brand and marketing effort, with a focus on digital.

As our Marketing Manager (Digital), you will develop, drive, and execute on BREAD’s overall digital marketing strategy. We are looking for someone detail oriented, who thrives in fast paced environments and has deep digital marketing expertise to join the fast growing BREAD™ team.

If you are excited by the prospect of building something from the ground-up, helping to guide, develop, and deliver on scalable brand building and commercially successful campaigns and initiatives, we want to talk to you.

You’ll take creative direction from our Founder & Creative Director, working closely with senior operations leadership to develop and execute full funnel marketing strategies for the brand.

ABOUT YOU

  • You are a growth focused marketer, with particular skill in digital marketing, and a deep understanding of 360 degree brand management and product launch strategy execution.
  • You are a lateral thinker: the task right in front of you is never the only thing on your mind; you know how to connect dots that help to deliver breakthrough, best-in class marketing campaigns and digital initiatives.
  • You have a keen focus on performance and ROI, using a combination of data and instinct to test, learn, and drive growth across a range of platforms
  • You are eager to hit the ground running, putting systems and management tools in place to help the brand implement knock-out launches and marketing initiatives.
  • You are someone who works well in a dynamic, startup environment, who thinks on their feet and loves to be intrapreneurial.
  • You are just as comfortable editing eDMs, planning content, and setting up landing pages as you are working on high level, strategic planning and roadmapping
  • You must have experience building and executing 360 degree marketing strategies, with a focus on e-commerce and overall commercial output
  • You have excellent follow up and follow-through, taking ownership and accountability.
  • You are flexible and adaptable, and able to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions, coping effectively with complexity and change.
  • You maintain composure under pressure and adapt to changes in schedule and juggle competing priorities.
  • You can intuitavely understand and absob the brand aestheic and positioning, and ensure the brand voice is maintained and reflecred on all platforms

THE ROLE

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Own and lead the 360 degree brand marketing strategy, from concept to execution, using digitally relevant tactics and initiatives, from influencer campaigns through to paid media, to reach our target audience and drive brand growth across our owned e-commerce and retail channels
  • Own both campaign and always on brand presentation across social and digital channel touch-points including but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, eDM, SEM, SEO, Affiliates, Partnerships, owned site, and retail sites, including development of all major creative and campaign briefs and their execution
  • Lead customer service integration and working with our partners to ensure best in class CS across touchpoints.
  • Work collaboratively with internal team and agency partners, including PR, paid media, developers, design and creative, to strategise and implement agreed marketing and communications plans
  • In addition to managing BreadBeautySupply.com, you’ll spearhead the strategy and implementation of our retail partner .com sites (including Sephora.com), ensuring content is best in class and drives conversions
  • Work closely with Founder & Creative Director to create and maintain our TOV guidelines to maintain and reinforce brand positioning
  • deploy end-to-end product launch and marketing campaigns with full awareness of their impact on brand-wide assortment and retailer sales, and own their implementation from ideation to execution
  • Liaise with and drive agency partners to deliver strategies in line with brand expectations and budget
  • Work with team, partners, and vendors to manage end to end production of content for both brand owned and retailer platforms as part of overall strategic execution, including website, social platforms, and brand owned editorial platforms
  • Prepare and monitor the marketing budget on a quarterly and annual basis and allocate funds nimbly
  • Measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight and assess against goals - pivot quickly and thoughtfully
  • Own sales performance in digital channel and live and breathe the effectiveness of every lever turning into revenue
  • As the overall brand and marketing lead, you'll also have a hand in product development + product pipeline, working with the CEO and operations team to ensure every touchpoint of the brand is aligned

Your Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in brand and digital marketing within consumer goods or retail. Ideally, you have digital beauty experience, but this isn’t mandatory
  • Degree marketing, business, design or related fields
  • Direct response marketing experience preferred, ideally for a product-focused digital business (e-commerce or direct-to-consumer businesses preferred)

Technical expectations:

  • Understanding of end-to-end funnels - from audience targeting, through to media-specific advertising, to conversion triggers on landing pages.
  • Understanding of Shopify and adjacent apps
  • Understanding of Facebook Ad Manager and its performance
  • Fluent in Google Analytics and Adwords
  • Technical understanding of affiliate architecture utilizing ShareASale, Skimlinks, and other publisher strategies
  • Basic Creative Editing Skills (Adobe suite) is a huge bonus
  • Influencer Software utilization / awareness (i.e. Magiclinks, Tribe Dynamics)
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
  • Numerically literate, comfortable working with numbers, making sense of metrics and processing figures with spreadsheets

Job Location

BREAD currently has offices in Melbourne and Los Angeles, however this role is remote for the immediate future, and we will consider applicants in any location provided you have US market experience
