Wayfair is seeking a senior leader to drive Perigold’s Editorial and Partnership strategy, supporting the development and awareness of our newest brand: Perigold. Perigold, Wayfair’s luxury brand, is seeking a full-time Sr. Manager -- Head of Editorial & Partnerships to take our rapidly evolving brand to the next level and bring us closer to achieving our mission to become the trusted authority in luxury design.
This role represents an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial individual to help shape our brand, accelerating awareness and growth for the business. The Head of Editorial & Partnerships will report to the Associate Director of Brand & Curated Merchandising, who will be leading this small team and reporting directly to the General Manager of Perigold. In this role you will be collaborating with key cross-functional teams to evolve and scale our editorial strategy -- including the launch of our new catalog in 2021. This person will also be responsible for developing, driving and scaling our influencer & partnership strategy, along with the corresponding product curation to bring our content strategy to life. Successful candidates for this role have an interest in home décor or design, excel at taking an analytical approach to problem-solving, are adept at innovating & standing up new initiatives, and possess strong communication, project management, and leadership skills. Candidates may have a background in magazines, traditional retail merchandising, brand marketing, brand strategy and/or e-commerce.
What You'll Do
- Oversee Editorial Calendar strategy, including development & execution of concepts across channels to support our mission to become the trusted authority in luxury design.
- Drive content strategy for our new print catalog, including creative briefs & product curation / merchandising
- Build & scale an effective (and measurable) influencer & partnership strategy to build awareness & credibility for the brand
- Partner with Category Management to drive ideal assortment, including # of SKUs, category mix, discount depth, etc.
- Oversee internal brand imagery production, producing assets for omni-channel efforts
- Partner with Marketing to drive omni-channel campaigns and secure channel buy-in
- Stay abreast of market and competitor trends and tactics (including messaging, calendars, assortment approach, etc.).
- Collaborate productively with cross functional partners (Creative, Marketing, PR, Image Production and Category Management) to drive action and realize goals
- Manage one direct report, responsible for our Editorial Calendar & Site Experience
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a strong academic record
- 8+ years of relevant post-graduate experience
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills – experience with Excel a plus
- Savvy, quick & creative thinking and comfortable in a dynamic, sometimes ambiguous, fast-moving environment
- Articulate, persuasive communicator with strong negotiating skills
- Interest in home décor, furnishings, or design
- Innovative, outside-the-box problem-solving skills -- willing to push the status quo and bring a new perspective
- Analytical thinker who looks for (and finds) answers in the data
- Attitude of a true team player – positive, enthusiastic, helpful
- Project management experience
- Luxury brand experience a plus
