  • Lead, manage, develop and implement the social media presence for 4 major brands. The Selma Foundation; Several Book(s) releases by author Sharon Virts; Almaes Wine release; and the Selma Historical Home.
  • Responsible for collaboration with each of these brands to understand and develop a social media branding strategy that elevates the brand across multiple mediums to include - Facebook; Instagram; Twitter and more via HubSpot.
  • Increase social media presence, visibility and implement strategies to drive growth for each of the brands.
  • Identify and develop engaging content to increase awareness of each of the unique brands.
  • Remain current in social media trends and technology, and mediums taking initiative and presenting new ideas to ensure each brand is ahead of the curve.
  • Carry out on-location social media photo/posting, which will include covering events.

To be considered for this position, a candidate must have:

  • A bachelor’s degree with a strong academic background AND 3-7 years of PR, advertising or content marketing experience either in-house or in an agency environment.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Work, Microsoft PowerPoint, WordPress and HubSpot is a plus.
  • Demonstrated expertise in utilization of Social Media mediums like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter are a must. Experience with Hootsuite is a plus, but not required. Specific experience building influencer audiences and deploying #hashtag campaigns.
  • Demonstrated experience with direct marketing campaigns like newsletters, mailings, events.
  • Demonstrated experience with paid marketing campaigns like giveaways and sponsored postings and experienced with earned media by booking podcast and speaking opportunities.
  • Excellent written and oral interpersonal communication skills, as well as strong organizational, time management and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities successfully required.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail. Must have the ability to take initiative, work in a fast paced environment, and demonstrate good judgment and discretion, always focused on the best interests of the association and its membership.
  • Strong creative skills and ability to think strategically required. Ability to respond quickly, work well and thrive in a fast-paced environment is necessary. In addition to specific skill sets, the best-suited candidate will possess these traits: adaptability, a high level of professionalism and a positive can-do spirit.
