WE ARE LOOKING FOR

onXmaps is seeking a Senior Contributor Program Manager who shares our commitment to outdoor recreation and thrives on collaboration with the community. The responsibilities of the Contributor Manager includes finding, meeting, and building relationships with new people in new places that love to explore the outdoors. The never-ending quest is to find outdoor enthusiasts interested in helping fellow enthusiasts get the information they desire to plan and enjoy their outdoor adventures.

You will be highly involved in developing our community and growing contributor program while also being a key player in building the best adventure maps in the digital space. This person will report to the Product Owner.

LOCATION : Missoula, MT or Bozeman, MT; remote considered with travel (post-COVID)

What You'll Do

  • Grow a Contributor Network . You will foster and mold our contributor program, with a focus on scaling across the country, while providing exceptional content to our user base.
  • Build a Digital Guidebook . Helping people discover their next adventure is the name of the game. You aim to source content that inspires others to hit the hills.
  • Optimize the Pipeline . You will focus on keeping a high-quality standard while also finding efficiencies that get content to our users as quickly as possible.
  • Hit Growth Targets . We’ve got some challenging goals, and you’re pumped to try to exceed them with quick and precise execution. You might even find opportunities for growth and efficiency that we haven’t thought of yet.
  • Analyze and Report . You’ll help build dashboards, provide in-depth analysis of efforts, and know how to act on insights.

Responsibilities

(Essential Job Duties)

  • Leading role in the development, deployment, and evolution of the onX contributor program.
  • Assist in the development and the evolution of our localized trail maps and rich trail information.
  • Bring rich trail and route information to life for our app users.
  • Build relationships in faraway places while on the road or on the phone.
  • Monitor quality of trail information and check facts.
  • Communicate professionally with individuals, organizations, clubs, and agencies through various communication channels
  • Maintain content submissions, information repositories, and the process through go-live of new or updated trail and route information.
  • Map acquired content into the appropriate onX database.
  • Comfortable on your feet talking or on the phone for a number of hours each day.
  • Utilize templates to write letters and forms;
  • Work directly with the GIS Department to ensure timely processing of new and updated map content
  • Communicate and coordinate with relevant employees for data purchasing;
  • Attends meetings, conferences, and workshops as requested.

Required Qualifications

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree from a four-year College or University; or in place of a degree, an additional three (3) or more years of relevant experience.
  • Experience : Seven (7) or more years of full-time experience in marketing and/or building influencer networks with a proven track record
  • Industry Knowledge : Five (5) or more years of professional experience focused on the outdoor industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Tech-savvy, detail orientated and highly organized
  • Self-starter, naturally motivated, and comfortable with aggressive goals
  • Able to develop solutions as challenges arise
  • Deep desire to improve onX user experience before, during and after their trip
  • Comfortably and authentically speak the industry language all day every day

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with GIS data and/or Cartography information
  • Experience building a community around a product
  • Entrepreneurial experience
  • Understanding of lifecycle marketing
