Digital Content Marketing Specialist

Our client is looking for a Digital Content Marketing Specialist that is a highly motivated self-starter with a passion for success and for driving results—someone to help make a mark in the fast-growing world of digital and video content.
This important role within the Marketing team focuses primary on sourcing, creating, and optimizing digital content to drive website traffic, product trials, orders, and revenue. They will support a wide-range of initiatives including customer acquisition, customer onboarding, upgrading and cross-grading, retention strategies, product marketing, sale enablement, and branding.
Responsibilities
- Quickly grasp marketing’s annual initiatives, aligning and balancing content efforts among them.
- Gain a deep understanding of the products, markets, and end users.
- Optimize website performance though content/page creation and remediation to improve traffic bounce rates, conversion actions, and other important KPIs
- Support multiple marketing and sales channels including email, social media, webpages (SEO), blog posts, paid search, native advertising, influencer marketing, and channel sales partners.
- Own delivery of marketing assets from conception to completion, (whether self-created or via agencies/freelancers) ensuring timely completion and that designs and copy meet high standards and brand guidelines.
- Write copy for various styles; editorial, advertorial, and direct response.
- Source imagery and make use of design templates to iterate frequently used creative assets.
- Use web, channel, and other forms of analytics to understand performance, address issues, and make improvements.
- Work on influencer outreach campaigns to generate guest posts, article placements, inbound links, testimonials and further exposure for the brand.
Qualifications
- Must have experience with ecommerce and/or direct digital sales/marketing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in producing content for the web specifically, as well as channel-specific knowledge (SEO, email, social media, etc.) SEO experience is highly preferred.
- Excellent writing skills with particular focus in marketing copy.
- Copywriting portfolio, including blog, sales copy, press releases, ebooks, whitepapers and more.
- Proficiency with using a CMS and basic HTML.
- Experience with managing projects and external resources; agencies, freelancers, vendors.
- Ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines in a timely manner.
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for simple editing and compositing. (Nice to Have)
- Notions of what good design looks like.
- Must be a professional team-player, flexible, positive, responsible, creative and willing to learn.
- Experience at a startup would be a plus or Enterprise client in the E-commerce or Sass industry
