About the team:
This role will join a small-but-mighty, highly collaborative team of creatives that wear many hats and encourages diverse perspective. Following and executing a robust editorial and social calendar, the Organic Content team is responsible for promoting brand awareness, affinity, and trust with new and current users on owned platforms.
About the Role:
This position calls for a creative, efficient, detail-oriented, and collaborative professional responsible for image and video production, curation, and planning. The ideal candidate executes but also thinks strategically about how to identify the most impactful ways to drive engagement through bite-sized visual storytelling. This role will work closely with the team manager, a graphic designer, and a social coordinator.
What You'll Do:
As an Editorial Creative, Photo & Video at Honey, you will:
- Concept, script, shoot and edit photography and short-form video content, from 15-second Instagram Stories to 10-minute Youtube/Influencer tutorials.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand and reach KPIs, implement learnings, and execute iterations.
- Provide general sound and set design, lighting, and color correction.
- Create motion graphics elements involving typography, photography, video, and animation.
- Bring brand messaging, member experiences, and merchant partner promotions to the social community through visually compelling storytelling.
- Meet deadlines and manage deliverables throughout multiple work streams.
- Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and the industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners on department- and corporate-wide campaigns and projects.
About You:
- 3+ years of professional photo editing experience.
- 4+ years of professional video editing experience.
- Proactive strategic thinker with creative problem solving ideas.
- Analytical and growth mindset, able to use data to understand current and upcoming trends.
- Software: Lighthouse, Photoshop, Premier, After Effects (or similar video editing tool), Microsoft Office Products, and file sharing systems.
