Sr Manager PR (Ray-Ban)

GENERAL FUNCTION
The Sr. Communications Manager implements the PR strategy to develop the brand and product reputations of a leader in the Eyewear industry, Ray-Ban.
The aim of the role is to support the PR and the communication of the brand leveraging on wholesale, online and retail channels WW through strategic PR programs. The position will work closely with both PR and Marketing Global Functions and plays a major part in maintaining momentum for the brand. Key projects include new product and category launches, brand platform and campaign executions, special projects such as capsule collections, creation and design of PR experiences and events.
Major Duties And Responsibilities
Media Relations, Influencer Program, Event experiences, Digital PR
- Develops and implements North America PR strategy including annual & seasonal communications programs.
- Builds and maintains positive media relationships for Ray-Ban (broadcast, print, online) both directly and through agency partners.
- Leads PR events in conjunction with product/brand/collection launches
- Leverages on the entertainment industry contacts and other relevant sponsorship opportunities
- Builds and nurtures a list of target celebrities and influencers
- Supports the eyewear collection launches
- Scouts, briefs and coordinates creative agencies and partners.
- Guides local PR and local agencies WW to work on international or regional PR programs in line with brand goals and projects
Storytelling, targeting, measuring & coordination
- Leads the development and creation of storytelling for the North America PR team, collaborating with the Brand Manager.
- Manages the implementation of PR targeting and results measuring tools.
Brand Custodian & Brand Voice
- Drives awareness and engagement with the evolved Ray-Ban brand direction.
- Collaborates with the PR director in defining crisis management plans & serving as the first-line of company response for media and key stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications
- BA in Business, Marketing, Communication, Public Relations or Media
- 7+ years public relations experience with proven track record of success
- Deep knowledge of media and influencer landscape in North America
- Strong understanding and authenticity in the areas of culture, youth culture, PR and media (music, fashion, TV, film) including a well-developed network in these areas.
- Ability to facilitate the needs of agency partners and media through excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven track record in the management and delivery of creative, progressive and impactful national and regional PR campaigns, from brief through to execution
- Passion for the history, vision, purpose & values of the Ray-Ban brand
- Excellent interpersonal skills and experience in dealing with a wide range of stakeholders
- Proven presentation skills to multiple levels of internal/external audiences
- Very strong written communication skills
- Strong project management experience with a proven track record of initiative and innovation across varied projects (events, products, campaigns)
