About The Job

Epic is seeking a passionate Associate Social Media Manager to drive the development of content across digital touchpoints that illustrates the value of Epic to our distinct educator and consumer audiences.

It's a unique opportunity to help fuel the growth of a crucial marketing channel, with a primary focus on social media platforms while partnering with email marketing, web, print, company blog and more for coordinated messaging and campaigns.

What You Will Be Doing

Digital content planning and execution:

Contribute to Epic's social media strategy; assist in the development of strategies and plans to grow audiences and channel engagement through innovative content and programming.

Participate in the development and execution of goal-oriented social programming to grow consumer and educator audiences to increase brand awareness, engagement and affinity. (i.e. sweepstakes, contests, influencer and ambassador programs)

Manage the content creation process, partnering with the existing social team, the creative team and other marketing functions as needed to develop relatable, engaging and on-brand content, including blog post creation. Provide direction to the creative team and/or agencies; project manage on-time creation of assets.

Ensure content is scheduled and posted efficiently.

Community management: daily monitoring and management of consumer social channels, engaging with audiences. Track and report real-time community trends.

Track and report meaningful social media engagement metrics and KPI's.

Partner with the acquisition team (for paid social efforts) to coordinate efficient asset creation and use.

Identify and develop social media growth opportunities, regularly recommend and test new campaigns, activities and channels.

What You Should Have

2-3 years in consumer marketing with a focus on social media, community management and influencer relations; experience with brand content creation or content marketing a plus.

Data-driven. Uses data to inform recommendations and decisions.

The ability to understand the nuanced needs of multiple audiences and serve them each effectively with relatable content while always embodying the Epic! brand.

Experience partnering with copywriters and a creative team or agency to develop assets, as well as direct copywriting skills (you'll be both copy editing and writing).

Ability to develop strong and consistent messaging and calls-to-action in social content and identifying and measuring impact.

A team-first attitude and a keen ability to proactively design and implement process improvements that benefit all internal partners.

Organized, detail-oriented, creative and passionate. A self-starter who is eager to share new ideas and try new things.

Nice to haves

Familiarity with or experience in education/ed-tech, the publishing industry or entertainment industry.

Familiarity with our target audience: Educators, parents, and children age 12 and under.
