BODEN is looking for a Digital Director who is passionate about developing digital & social media strategies that move, inspire and empower the Latinx community. The kind of ideas that get the world talking and that generate earned media and social engagement while building trust with the Latino community. You are passionate about this community and understand its diversity across languages, nationalities, traditions and regions across the country. You also understand the power of social media when building brand reputation and driving market growth with this community.

You have 10+ years work experience with a national or global agency servicing global brands, and you are a thought leader and relationship-builder, with outstanding communication and creative problem-solving skills. As the Digital Director for Boden, you will be the lead digital and social media voice for the agency. You’ll work in partnership with account teams and creative to build best in class work, while leading a team of social media strategists.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop social media strategies, founded in Latinx insights, for the leading brands in the world
  • Take a client brief and build in Latinx insights and work closely with the account team and creatives to deliver on social media strategies that drive social media engagement
  • Lead social media role with clients, with the ability to galvanize a room and have a credible point-of-view with C-suite executives
  • Lead a social media team tasked with developing social-first content that ladders up to marketing and communications objectives
  • Review content calendars before being sent to the client
  • Work hand in hand with PR team leads, to see creative strategies through from concept to launch, completing them on-time and on-budget for three core areas: Music, Entertainment and Sports
  • Work with agency partners (advertising, media, activation) as part of an integrated agency team
  • Work with freelancers as required
  • Work closely with the account team, agency partners, and clients, to develop cross-platform social marketing programs that support integrated communication initiatives
  • Provide strategic direction to Creative Team
  • Integrate social media trends, media analytics learnings, and best-in-class social and digital practices into all work
  • Partner with outside agencies and providers to ensure proper execution and best-in-class learnings
  • Attend key client meetings to present social media strategies and programming results
  • Work with a team to continuously track current and emerging social media trends to share with clients
  • Be the leading social media and digital voice of the agency and develop thought leadership
  • Responsible for the professional development and mentorship of more junior members of the team, as well as growing an in-house team of digital and social media experts

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 10+ years of relevant social media and digital communications experience
  • Experience managing global programs around consumer products
  • Excellent client management skills
  • Superior communication skills, helping clients understand, value, and appreciate social media programs
  • Polished executive presence and the ability to consult confidently and effectively with senior executives
  • Understanding of how to integrate social campaigns with offline programs and events to create cohesive and scalable programs
  • Experience leading and overseeing paid social media, community management, content development, influencer engagement and technology builds for clients
  • Prior experience with agency-wide responsibility for account profitability
  • Ability to foster collaborative cross-functional teamwork with enthusiasm and creativity
  • Passion for consumer and lifestyle brands and the Latinx community, with recent experience and proven results working with industry leaders
  • Fluency in English (verbal/written) - Spanish preferred but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Social Media, Business, or related field
